  1. Only six teams in it this season. This should be done and dusted by now. NO..... Kent still have THREE meetings to go. And one fixture at Eastbourne still to be arranged. What a joke Speedway is.
  2. Do not take any notice of the meeting reports/crowd figures on the Kings Website. It is always hyped up big time.
  3. Win at ALL costs from Lakeside by the sound of it.. I used to go and watch Kent, but not any more as fed up with NL.
  4. Quite right. Woffinden is as British as the tennis woman,Konta ?? To me there are no Brits and I only wonder when there will be.
  5. Did not watch last night. Watching highlights. Wow. PROPER Speedway. This is what you get with a great track and class riders.
  6. Why is Ben riding ? Cannot see what he would get out of this stupid meeting !
  7. Good old Len ! Just a track training session for the riders. And you pay for the pleasure.
  8. What? Not easy to count to FOUR! We also had a five lap race at Kent recently.
  9. My point is the rules are all wrong. Buxton should of been able to ask for the meeting be postponed. To not have the TOP three riders available is just not right. It was obvious Kent would hit the 60 mark so it was NOT a competitive meeting. Speedway shooting itself in the foot as usual.
  10. Harsh, but point is their BEST riders are missing. For an AWAY side to have them not riding,is just not giving the paying public value for money IMHO.
  11. That was a surprise. Well done Rebels. Unusual to see an unexpected result in Speedway.
  12. I am also given this a miss. Not recovered yet from the last farce of a meeting. Also weather very iffy. Now Buxton missing their 3 Heat Leaders! Predict small crowd, and Kent to hit 60 points if weather stays OK.
  13. Have to agree. Very sad and concerning,I thought doing the grass-track was worrying enough.
  14. Len says lots of things? Do not know if I have the enthusiasm to go after Monday. To me track is no better now than it was in 2013. Shame Club is being held back.
  15. I get same email. My case for Mr Silver to go is the fact he likes to do it all. Be in charge of track preparation, pick the team.... in other words be a dictator. Club is going nowhere unless changes in Management are made.IMHO.
  16. Yes,and not being a fan at all of Mr Silver does not help my enjoyment. I am sure he is holding Club back. Just my opinion.
  17. Why? Because I get there early (unlike some ) ready for meeting to start ON TIME. With delays etc the first 4 or 5 Heats must have taken three quarters of a hour. Just standing around with nothing happening, starts to get very boring and annoying. No racing,c**p track, delays, more delays, really starts getting annoying. Watching riders just try and stay on the bike is NOT Speedway to me. By Heat 13,I had seen enough. Result does not matter anyway,as it is a warm up meeting. These sort of meetings should be £5 to get in,and that would of been TOO much yesterday. Rant over.
  18. After yesterdays farce of a meeting Kent should do the following. 1) Change both May Bank Holiday fixtures to a 6.30 start from 3.00 pm. 2) Get some more dirt down as soon as possible. 3) Hope that young Anders Rowe is a hidden gem or it is going to be a very ordinary season. Getting outscored by Lakesides reserves at Home is very worrying. p.s. I had left before the last Heat, and I see that it went to FIVE laps ????? Get the Officials back to Primary School to see if they can count to FOUR !
  19. Too true. Because I fear this team will be a million miles behind last years.
  20. Right that afternoon meetings are hard to keep dust free etc. But there is no dirt whatsoever on the Kent track. A white line appears very early. Another gripe for me today was to delay the meeting to allow people in...... get there early!!!!!! I know that falls causes delays that is fair enough. But today with R/R and team changes, this did not help. Also after another delay, the riders came out and instead of going straight to the start, they went down the back straight and beyond the first bend ????? why ! And to cap it all, even after all the delays.... still had a interval ? Really poor value for money.
  21. Did not enjoy that at all. Delay after delay. Drawn out meeting. C**p racing. I left before the end.
  22. Just my observations on last nights meeting. A very decent crowd for a chilly evening. Mildenhall. Mountain- Did OK but can do a lot better. Ruddick - Really struggled. Armstrong - What a credit to the NL,and younger riders must learn a lot from him on/and off the track. Verge - Average. Halsey - Seems to struggle at Central Park. Woods - Does not seem to have improved much to me. Jenkins - Will be in the main body of team soon, very impressive. Kings. Bowen - After 1st Heat spill, class as usual. Clifton - Did OK,but problem is he will have to stay in main body of team, which could prove hard. Hopwood - Will put 2 points on his average, great signing. Thomas - Real progress from him, very bright future. Stoneham - Wow.What a great debut, reminds me a bit of Shanes,as he battles for all 4 laps and is entertaining. Reserves - The big problem. If Kings had Jenkins in their team, they would be in the top three. Unless Kent can find a diamond (maybe young Rowe)then it will be hard to finish in top 4. Still early but looking at both teams they will be close together in the League.IMHO
  23. Lakeside always looked top heavy which is OK at Home. Away is where it could well hurt.
  24. The response to this meeting is underwhelming. Hope more turn up than the interest on here!
