SKY paid the BSPA to cut short their contract. The BSPA to the best of my knowledge have part-funded BT's production costs this year. The best the BSPA can hope for in 2018 is for BT to pay the production costs in full.
-
YOU have just made the argument for set Premiership race-nights that do not clash with Championship fixtures. It is not all about attracting "the top" riders back to the UK but, for example, Robert Lambert not riding for KL when representing Newcastle or vice versa.
-
SWINDON might not be anything different than a championship team without Doyle but several of their riders race in the championship and are not always available when either club needs them. You may know than me about the Sky pay-off but if it was split 18 ways out wouldn't amount to a whole lot of beans.
-
TWO home and away ... tracks want more fixtures.
-
I DO agree to a certain extent ... 10 of the 18 tracks had no TV money anyway. And, as previously stated, the theory behind the fixed race-nights has more to do with unscrambling some of the doubling up clashes than attracting any top riders here.
-
ONE night won't work ... need two
-
SOUNDS good to me ... sorry about my request but I thought you had written all the names down.
-
SADLY averages don't allow for continuity of teams and destroys any chance of long term loyalty to and from the riders
-
IF you can put 18 teams together with no doubling up, please send to me at phil@pinegen.co.uk. Would like to use in SS.

DON'T think the left hand always knows what the right is doing
-
HAVE you read posts 25 and 28? WHAT if two NL teams felt they could operate in the Championship?
-
TRY making up 18 teams with no doubling up from those currently riding for PL and CL teams
-
I HAVE no more idea than anyone else but some of the people involved in the decision making seem to suggest that there simply isn't enough riders to go round in an amalgamated league. They seem to favour two leagues, two tracks going the PL, two NL moving into the CL and doubling up, sadly, to continue.
-
CARPING and insults... surely not
-
PERHAPS an exception could be made for Redcar to continue on a Thursday. Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday would be available to CL tracks. Are there any that don't race on those days?
-
NOT sure that Mondays and Thursday are too much of a problem for the current PL tracks and would suit Ipswich and Sheffield in that respect. Wolves run on a Monday, Swindon on a Thursday. Belle Vue, Leicester, Rye House, Somerset and King's Lynn all operate within their own stadiums which just means Poole making a change to Thursdays.
-
CONFIRMED on here numerous times ... just the first match.
-
TECHNICIANS, etc would require overtime payments, late de-rigging and so on.
-
PLAYING Devil's Advocate for a moment, some promoters are saying that the problem with re-arranging fixtures is because of the number of riders doubling up and therefore if the PL only runs two nights a week with no CL meetings the same day that could be resolved.
-
I MAY be wrong but I thought the idea of set race-nights wasn't necessarily about attracting the "top" riders back to the UK but, if two leagues remain, trying to ensure that there are no fixture clashes between Premiership and Championship sides.
-
NINETY-nine per cent likely that there will be no TV money. The best the BSPA can hope for is that BT pay the production costs.
-
WOULD Sheffield go Premiership. That would leave only Redcar on Thursdays.
-
SURE you will get all the answers you need but Torun's SGP is certainly up there with the best and the town is good, too. Bydgoszcz is the nearest airport but Gdansk is only an hour away on relatively new toll motorway. Very easy journey.

Jason Doyle In This Weeks Speedway Star
PHILIPRISING replied to diamond_ren's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
NOT all riders are the same. NKI said he was riding too much ... Doyle likes racing as much as possible. Woffinden, at present, seems to do as little as possible. THERE is a particular company that I want to clean my windows. I called and was told that they come on a Monday or Thursday. I replied that I needed them when and as I called, on any day of the week. They couldn't comply. Do I agree to their availability or go for a company that I don't really want?
