  1. NO idea ... but no doubt someone on here will be able to answer. If not, will enquire.
  2. THINK about it SAME question ... you prefer guests?
  3. SO you are in favour of guests even if there could be an alternative? And it wouldn't be to pander to Woffinden but to provide a credible replacement for an injured rider. And before too many over-heat, just filling time between heats with a healthy (so far) discussion.
  4. I KNOW its against the rules as they stand. I am just throwing the argument into the arena. But we have heard from many who think that Wolves being able to use one of their own assets, perhaps Peter Karlsson, would have been a better option for the sport as a whole. But, then again, who cares about that anyway. PLAYING devil's advocate, if he is a Wolves asset is he actually a guest?
  5. SHOULD Wolverhampton been allowed to bring in Tai Woffinden to replace the injured Freddie Lindgren in the race-offs against Swindon? There is an argument that Woffinden, a Wolverhampton asset, would have been a more credible replacement than a guest. That old speedway cliche "special dispensation" springs to mind. The front cover of Speedway Star this week features a photo of Sheffield's title winning team but, of course, there is an unfamiliar Tigers' face in the shape of guest Scott Nicholls. Chris Harris has probably ridden in more play-off finals than any rider, frequently not for his own team. Just one more reason why so many fail to take British speedway seriously.
  6. WORSE still will be if Leicester and Sheffield don't actually want to swap places.
  7. I UNDERSTAND your point of view and agree with most of it but the fact is that many, many riders already race for more than one, frequently more than two, teams. Just because the teams are in different countries as opposed to different leagues makes little difference to them. It's a pay day. Who would they put first if restrictions were imposed. The one that pays the most obviously. And loyalty is a two way street. If British tracks chop and change from one season to another how can they expect any loyalty in return?
  8. HAVE challenged them countless times but even less likely to listen to me than you.
  9. TYPICAL speedway ... weakened the strong to help the weak. That philosophy has damaged British speedway for decades. There simply isn't the money around to buy up all the talent, which is what the BSPA thought might happened when Stuart Bamforth, bank-rolled by his business, came along. Any team that wants to continue from one season to another we the riders it has should be allowed to do so. Only if they want to make changes should that track be subject to whatever the points limit is. I haver lost count of the times I have been told by a promoter that there is little point in trying to develop young riders if at the end of the season they are shunted off elsewhere to a track that cannot be bothered to do likewise.
  10. DON'T think Lakeside fancy Fridays given the problems with the Dartford tunnel/bridge
  11. IT cannot ... DOUBT it will be Auckland and Melbourne. End of season trip down under, especially if championship is decided, doesn't appeal to fans and riders alike. If NZ, then it needs to be the first when everyone is fresh and enthusiastic.
  12. BUT why should your view prevail over the rest of us who enjoy the coverage along with the commentary. BT are very happy with KT and NP.
  13. THAT semi final was crucial. Had Holder and Kildemand not clashed and Chris won he would have deprived Zagar of five or six points. Add in three for Holder and even if he was last in the Final the gap between him and Zagar would have only been two or three. Holder has shown better form of late and although it will be tough to overhaul Zagar now it's certainly possible and a strong finish might get him a wild card along with Hancock.
  14. THINK Chris will make top eight with Torun and Melbourne to come
  15. Rubbish HE'S done that throughout his career. Not sure whether Emil or Susi makes the decision
  16. WHETHER the problem is with the referee or the riders it is all very untidy and unsatisfactory
  17. AS he did going into Torun last year and we all know what happened. Surely lightning cannot strike twice.
  18. BT's main coverage will come from Monmore with a second unit at Blunsdon.
  19. TO watch in the USA, this is listed by BSI ... American supporters can watch live on https://www.motortrendondemand.com/.
