MORE POLISH LEAGUE INTERFERENCE
PHILIPRISING replied to Gunner85's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
IT is no secret that as part of their bid to the FIM for the commercial rights of the World Championship and other events Discovery proposed to take the SGP to many new countries but that could turn out to be a fool's errand. Speedway is a hard sell to the uninitiated and especially to countries where there are no 'home' riders available. Cannot see central contracts working either. -
Royal Mail has acknowledged delays to its deliveries amid "exceptionally high volumes" of post and anti-Covid measures. Despite "exhaustive planning", customers may be experiencing "slightly longer delivery timescales." It came as people complained of late or missed deliveries... tell us about it!
-
THANKS ... we did look at a similar system but the figures didn't work for us.
-
WOULD certainly support one ...
-
THANKS everyone ...

LOVE and kisses ...

SORRY, our posts were made at the same time

2021 GP Series Dates
PHILIPRISING replied to therefused's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
IT made perfect sense to postpone the Warsaw event to later in the year when, hopefully, there is more chance that the Covid pandemic will have abated somewhat. But bear in mind that the 2019 Warsaw event was a sell-out so as soon as it is possible those who wish to secure tickets should do so. -
NO problem ...
-
THANK you, very kind
-
THANKS but we first met in 1961 ... and I was 15!
-
SO true
-
BEING pedantic again, and as previously mentioned, it is Royal Mail ... the Post Office is a separate entity.
-
GOOD news... hope it was worth the wait

Email ssdigital@pinegen.co.uk and we will send a link to this week's mag. As much as we are frustrated by late postal deliveries, the problems lay with local sorting offices. Over 95 per cent of subs are delivered by Friday although, of course, having paid a first class fee we would expect Thursday.

NO, personal choice. Sign or don't sign. Many people in a wide variety of employment sign excursive contracts... -

NO but a Polish club can include certain terms in a contract and then it is up to the rider to sign it or not. -
ARSENAL'S Emirates is very impressive. Hopefully will get to Tottenham's new home next year.

WE actually agree on something. Used to attend most soccer matches at Wembley (internationals, etc) in World Soccer days and it was a dump. But it did have an aura. The two dressing rooms had huge baths rather than showers... more like a swimming pool. Practice for speedway World Finals were always held on a Thursday. Media were allowed in and we used to stage a mock soccer game for a few minutes to say "we played at Wembley." Actually did the same at Ullevi in Gothenburg one year. Happy days ...

Armando Castagna article in SS.
PHILIPRISING replied to Fromafar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
SPEEDWAY is normally used to describe a motor racing circuit -

PROBABLY because the FIM is the international governing body for all forms of motorcycle racing -

THERE have been times when the BSPA thought of breaking away from the FIM or, at the very least, been the body affiliated to the FIM rather than the ACU. But the FIM would never accept that. -

THAT has always been the 64,000 dollar question. Without affiliation to the FIM, riders from GB would not be able to race anywhere outside these Isles, no international competition, World Championship participation, etc. And riders from other countries couldn't risk coming here if it closed all other doors.
