  1. RIDERS need to know that they are in every round to work out their riding schedules and for sponsors
  2. ODD that because that was exactly the complaint with the old silencer. Honestly haven't heard riders complaining about the new silencers this year. Perhaps he got hold of the wrong one!
  3. BSI don't pay the riders other than a one-off at the start of the season ... pay rates are set by and paid by the FIM
  4. I SPENT the evening in the pits, watching on the TV screens at the scoreboard, but I think many will endorse your view. Will pass on to BSI....
  5. I THINK the atmosphere can largely depend on the performance of the home riders, especially in Sweden and Denmark. Cardiff tends to be an exception because British fans have traditionally cheered for just about everyone (maybe not Nicki!) and just a bit louder for the home stars.
  6. NOT sure that any riders, let alone Tai, sing their national anthem.
  7. CHRIS doesn't ride in three leagues of course. No Swedish club and only did about one meeting for Rybnik in Poland. Has been complaining that until recently hasn't been riding enough.
  8. BUT there were more than 92,000 people attending British speedway in 1981 and less than 40,000 now
  9. I didn't think it was a great meeting but at the Press Conference all of the top three praised the track as one of the best they have ridden. Also, I don't think you appreciate how much the riders actually like appearing in stadiums like this, Cardiff and coming up Melbourne. It is a big stage for them and I doubt whether you will find any of them arguing against going to Warsaw, Cardiff, Stockholm and Melbourne, great arenas that are usually the province of sports like soccer.
  10. PRACTICE went well, riders seemed pretty happy with track conditions although, as ever, they will be a little different on race-day. Wet morning here, so the closed roof comes into play. Good turn out of Swedish media at press conference yesterday but doubt whether that will have such influence on attendance with even AJ admitting this has been a lost year in the SGP. Positive words from Lindback, of course, but would be surprised to see a crowd to match that of two years ago. Shame because it is a lovely stadium and a lovely city (not in the rain!) albeit horribly expensive.
  11. DARCY Ward was about to be announced as the Melbourne wild card when he had his accident.
  12. BIT premature ... deal agreed but not signed as yet. Krsko will return, too. So, just swap Tampere for Teterow. Just need the dates now...
  13. NOT really. He says he hasn't anything fixed for 2016 other than that he won't ride for a Saturday night track...
  14. EXACTLY and why they have been so supportive. But also because of the academy which offer local kids the chance to try speedway. Not quite as easy as kicking a football around of course but opportunities will be there.
  15. SAME stuff in Speedway Star this week. Morris not over-joyed with Batchelor either. ALSO Doyle saying that he will not ride for a Saturday night track in UK next year.
  16. THINK Sam Ermolenko might be involved. Also that it could be 570cc...
