  1. HOW about Briggo's six consecutive BLRC victories at a time when the standard was often higher than the World Final that preceded it. One of the all-time great speedway achievements.
  2. EACH to his own but I enjoy watching a master technician (Hancock) at work
  3. HAD a long chat with Emil at the SWC. He is very happy off the track with a young family. Keeps talking about returning to the SGP but the clock is ticking.
  4. WHY? I know he came fourth after a run-off but he must be the world's most boring rider
  5. CANNOT see Harris getting in again. Don't think BSI are bothered if there is only one Brit. Hard on Hampel but think his SGP race is run. If Pedersen overtakes Pawlicki I would give it to the Pole. Brings some excitement to the series and is one for the future which his fellow countryman obviously is not. Zagar is the tough one. Not been up to much either in the SGP or domestically this year. Would love to see both Emil and Gregori Laguta get a call.
  6. THEN it would be up to the PZM to sue Speedsport. As it happens I believe that the PZM and Speedsport came to some arrangement re this year's track which, as we now know, was terrific.
  7. I'M not saying any responsibility but the facts are the FIM provide, as you put it, the riders and Speed Sport's contract was with the PZM.
  8. PROBABLY the result BSI dreamed about ... two great additions to the SGP squad and a Swede not needing a wild card.
  9. JUST make sure you get one of the authorised taxis.
  10. SZCZAKIEL scored 15 points and won the World Pairs in 1971 with Andrzej Wyglenda against opposition that included Barry Briggs, Ivan Mauger and Anders Michanek
  11. SHOULD be no such thing as an asset. Legally and morally wrong. If a rider doesn't have a contract then he neither belongs to or is an asset of any club... full stop.
  12. HE doesn't 'belong' to anyone ... slavery stopped long ago.
  13. DATE should be confirmed around the weekend of the Stockholm GP. Still a few loose ends to tie up.
  14. PROBLEM is that Bomber more often than not surrounds himself with people who at best are not the greatest when it comes to working out what set-ups he needs but, in fairness, it isn't easy because he often cannot really tell them what he needs in the manner of, say, Greg Hancock. Continually switching from one tuner to another, as he and others (notably Andreas Jonsson) do is never the answer. But the real bottom line is that more often than not Bomber drops the clutch long after his opponents and at SGP levels that is a massive handicap for any rider.
  15. FROM what I am hearing there are some pretty radical changes being mooted both on the administration front and league format structure although the heat format tested at Kings Lynn appears to have been binned.
  16. LET me rephrase ... how much servicing have LIndgren's engines required
  17. JUST ask Lindgren how much he has paid out in service bills
  18. THINK BSI are just waiting for confirmation of contracts being signed.
  19. A FINE would suffice. Surely we want to see four riders in any race let alone a SGP Final whenever possible.
