Purely selfish opinion on my behalf, as an orphan Bees fan Somerset are my adopted team due to the long weekend option, Golf on Friday and Rebels on Friday night was much more attractive. Just seems to me Rebels will miss out on a fair few of the Weston weekend visitors. Wednesday seems a bit uninspiring, kids at school etc etc. Time will tell.
-
Fixtures a complete waste of space, not a single Friday night meeting. Pointless dropping down a league to race on a Wednesday.
-
Just looks like Horton trying to keep the name going, so if any one does tip up with a long term solution he can claim he owns the name and try to extract some value. Its all he has left.
-
If the save Coventry group did manage to get a new stadium or resurrect Brandon. We will need a new name. Any ideas? Coventry Hornets.

World Team Longtrack Roden Netherlands Help please. I am looking to attend, but could do with some guidance. Is the first race 1:00pm (12:00 uk time) Will I be able to pay on the gate? Looking to fly in to Schipol and catch the train so timing is a bit tight if not including a stop over. Many thanks -
Who cares who wins, its a slow motion car crash for the sport.
-
Matt Ford is a shrewd enough business man to see the writing on the wall for British speedway. No one in their right mind is going to pump money in to a dying sport. Sad but true.
-
Slip them a few quid and I am sure all the seats and other Sandhu related bits could be put back. Dont ask them to fix the track though, two races and it will start to break up.
-
And there in lies the problem. I think a fresh start is needed. Not sure who is going to want to work with Mr Horton given the previous fiasco. I appreciate he wants to recoup his investment but everyone has been fed so much bull.
-
Dont be so ridiculous, of course its the issue.
-
Bottom line Sandhu is the one who had the stadium trashed!
-
Well that all sounded very positive NOT. Well done to all concerned for creating one huge mess that will see a slow death of the Bees.
-
Given the events of the last 6 months would you want to do business with Horton and Sandhu.
-
Yep another brave comment from a nerd hiding behind his keyboard.
-
So it goes like this, you have Horton and Sandhu who are trying to manipulate each other for financial advantage, but between them they end up trashing the stadium and the Bees are homeless. So then they get together and cobble some financial arrangement together that means the Bees have got to ride at Leicester with no clear time line for a return to Brandon. Then they want the fans to pull together to bail them out and put money in their pockets. Jog on is what I say and a pox on them both.
-
Disaster written all over this. Cold damp early season weather, motorway's chocker on a Friday and a couple of poor results from a team that do not want to be there. Crowds will drop of a cliff.
-
No mention of Brandon Estates. Still more questions than answers.
-
Nope
-
I now its more speculation, but the fact that discussions are taking so long suggests that Brandon is out of the equation and all the horse trading is going on around the riders and Leicester.
-
Fixtures look a bit of shambles. Somerset seem to have the Bees riding there 3 times, perhaps we are track sharing with the Rebels. Rye House are not putting the fixtures up until they are all confirmed.
-
Looking at the fixtures, seems Coventry are sharing with Somerset.

Good point, talk about conflict of interest.
