Mildenhall V Some Coventry Storm 3/5/15 Cgnl

Knuckey rides, Greenwood R/R & Chessell for Crang. -
Wilson-Dean has been told by the BSPA that he will come in to the PL on a 5.00 average and Connor Dugard confirmed this.

If, and it's a big if, Perks went home without riding another meeting Cradley would only have 3.00 points to replace him with and Perks would still be a 3.00 if he returned this year or another year, as he has not done enough (4 league) for a new average. If he was to quit Scunthorpe, he could still ride for Cradley. Similarly if he's sacked he still could. There's no rule stopping him doing NL only either. Sings4kings you mention a 28 day ban but that would be for withholding his services, like refusing to ride a meeting as he's elsewhere, as opposed to quitting the club altogether. At the end of the day, that'd be Perks' own choice. It seems strange that he'll even be at Buxton on Sunday but there isn't enough time for him to ride in that meeting and then get to Newcastle, so I suspect he'll be using the track to check his fitness before the meeting?? Also I think his dad is over here with him, but I'm not sure.

It does mean he won't get a new average until at least June though! -

Buxton V Some Cradley Heathens 3/5/15 Cgnl

Team news is Greaves R/R, Govier for Perks and still waiting on news on Harris. Buxton have Holt and Basford replacing Bowen and Hoskins at reserve. -
I think Carr's 18. Definitely a very good prospect and in his first season he joined Stoke in about August and averaged 3.61. In his second season he thought he was joining Stoke again but that fell through and meant he started the season without a team and joined Buxton in about May and averaged 6.76. Last year was his first from the start and averaged 8.00 for Buxton whilst riding for Berwick in the Premier League too! But he had a very serious crash at Sheffield in about August that was expected to keep him out for at least a year so he's progressed well. He's based near Berwick, I think it's Tweedmouth.

Haha Mason has scored well so far but he was always likely to be good on a unique track like Eastbourne, it would be his away scores that wouldn't be like a number 1! The problem is if this is a recurring illness or serious illness then it's not good for the team to keep going with R/R (especially once BWD goes to number 1) and he could always be in the pits even if he's not up to riding.
-
How it should have been against Kent!! If you redeclare before you've ridden 4 meetings you could fit Liam Carr in for Mason!
-
Regards redeclaring you either build up to the 36 limit, if you've fallen below it, or if you're above the limit you can replace a rider up to the average of the rider you are dropping ie an 8 pointer is injured so you can replace with an 8 pointer. There is no actual rules stopping you from dropping a 3 pointer for an 8 pointer but in reality in this leag there aren't many, only Compton comes to mind, 8 pointers without a team and its highty unlikely a team would drop significantly below 36 without having started with a series of 3.00 men anyway and already being close to the minimum 30 limit! Btw it's not 2H & 2A, it's simply 4 meetings.
-
Not true. What I put was correct. I've followed this league long enough to know! Yes that's correct! The correct formula! And as Alan points out, tactical rides count as normal points. Yep!
-
That isn't what Penny's saying! Can we stop this BWD vs BDJ argument now??
-
You've calculated them wrong and use the wrong numbers anyway. Current averages after 2 of 4 meetings look like this:Mason 12 from 5, 7 from 5 = 19 from 10 = 7.60 Andrews 9 from 4, 4 from 5 = 13 from 9 = 5.77 Owen 4 from 2 gives him an 8.00 average but he won't have completed 4 meetings when the others do anyway so will stay on 6.11 Wilson-Dean 15 from 5, 13 from 6 = 28 from 11 = 10.18 Wood 11 from 6, 1 from 5 = 12 from 11 = 4.36 Dugard 8 from 5, 5 from 3 = 13 from 8 = 6.50 Obviously this is going to change in the next 2 meetings but that gives you a team total of 46.79
-
Maybe because all he ever rides is Somerset and Plymouth and he barely ever does midweek meetings.
-
Matt Bates replaces Danny Warwick.
-
Why are these two riding each other in the league before the trophy? Doesn't it make more sense to put all the trophy fixtures together, either at the end of the season or the start.

Kings Lynn Young Stars V Mildenhall Fen Tigers 15th April
Islander15 replied to Rickyb's topic in National League Speedway
Rumsey hasn't retired. If you read his statement and the article in the Cambridge News you'll see it not all how the Mildenhall statement makes it sound. As for Laurence's ability, he's been around several years now. -
No BDJ would have been at 4 and BWD at reserve with Wood or Dugard at 2.
-
Nope, only league. Not Trophy, KOC, Gold Cup or anything else.

Why didn't King ride? -
7 days after 4 league meetings.

He averaged 3.68 for Sittingbourne. He did come back the next season and rode a few meetings but got seriously injured and I can't remember if it was enough to get a real average of 3.00 or he's still 3.68. Edit: I've tried looking it up and the BSPA site has him ending 2009 still on his 3.68 average in the team declaration but he may have dropped to 3.00 and the team just not redeclared after that I suppose. I've found him riding officially in 5 league meetings that year and 4 trophy meetings. But he did ride a few meetings the season after for Plymouth but as he didn't end the season it's as if he didn't exist on the BSPA site, as this is back in the days of the NL not having published greensheets!
