Did Coventry sign Shuttleworth as an asset last winter?
-
Great signing.

Category 4 states: having ridden NL as an amateur. So the rule itself infers that the NL is an amateur league, unless its a professional league filled with amateur competitors (by virtue of needing a second job to make a living). But by definition, doesn't that make it an amateur league!!

The trio said they weren't continuing but now they seem to have retracted that if they pull off the move to Monmore.

AGM is December 2nd.

Are Kent moving to Fridays?

I'd say Holt is a near certainty seeing as Belle Vue wouldn't let Buxton buy him this year.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Islander15 replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ayres signed for Glasgow, so the number 7 isn't him. -
Their press release didn't really distinguish between the two so they may be doing what Mildenhall did with King last year, but I expect him to ride. I'm being positive!!!
-
Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Hopefully we'll see him in 2017 then.

The best reserve pairing in the league... Having said that, unlucky on Wilson and whoever signs him will have a young lad with decent potential and a year behind him!

A Way Forward For National League Racing?
Islander15 replied to Electric6's topic in National League Speedway
I'm glad that plan will never get implemented! The NL has problems but making it 4 man teams and uncompetitive isnt the way forward. You need good quality and close meetings for fans to turn up. The league has needed to up its professionalism and Eastbourne led that superbly last year! Oh and you missed out the Isle of Wight's return. -

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?

Yes he was supposed to after he'd done a couple of MDL meetings. As was Scooter Webster, anyone know what happened to him? -
Laurence said so.
-
I also think its no, yes, no. But when the riders average dictates that he's a reserve, he has to be at number 7 and not number 6.
-
Webster said last winter that he was taking just this year out, having made his comeback at Devon. As for the other 3, they've all said they wouldn't mind making a comeback at Smallbrook and I know that Tom Hill has practiced at Rye House this year.
-
Yeah they both have. I believe its riders currently on a 3.00, so they're eligible. I think they added the 'eligible for the NL' bit to the statement so that if, for example, someone like Hawkins' average dropped so much next year that he'd be a 3.00 in 2017, he'd be ineligible for #7 as he wouldn't be eligible for the NL (as he's over 25 so can't DU).
-
It is true because they wanted Chapman to ride as well, and they were unhappy at not being consulted on either rider.
-
His PL average is 3.00.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Islander15 replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oliver Greenwood wasn't in the NL last year but I was under the impression the spot is for riders on a PL average of 3.00 that are eligible for the NL, which Oliver is. -
Jack Kingston would fit on just under 6. That would definitely a team that would win big or fall trying.........probably the latter! That would be a very good team to watch though!
