  1. The latest I read was that he is still suffering from constant headaches. That was about a week ago I think.
  2. Supposed to be riding for Leicester Cubs tomorrow
  3. Guests assume the average of the rider they are replacing, which is also why he was at number 1 the other week.
  4. For dropping down you use the higher of the 2 figures: his converted PL average or last NL average. When he rode for Bournemouth his average was above 10 so he'd use that and not 5.08.
  5. I'm surprised the tactical ride brigade hasn't come out yet.
  6. I would like to be proved wrong but I think the Newcastle management have looked at the Devon starting NL averages and plumped for the highest, as Shanes would've been the smart choice!
  7. I have to agree with greyhoundp, Dan isn't ready to score 3-5 points this season. I'd put him nearer to 2-3 based on Williamson's scoring as I'd say he's only slightly better but more experienced. To those of you quoting averages: Dan has a new average this year but Worrall, Rose and Greaves are yet to get new figures and Dan's is inflated by having ridden one of his 4 meetings against Scunthorpe. Is Dan better than Greaves? Maybe in the short-term he's more likely to stay on the bike for 4 laps, but Greaves has more potential.
  8. I stand to be corrected but I think it's upto the club to decide. If Scunthorpe were running a PLKOC meeting and NL meeting for example, I doubt the NL match would be first. Maybe that's why the press release didn't say because they're checking it out.
  9. If there's 2 injuries in your 2-5 (so Compton and Chessell) you have R/R and a guest and it doesn't matter which way round the R/R and guest are.
  10. The first injury in the riders declared second to fifth in the averages is covered by R/R. You can only have a guest if that rider is missing because he's riding in the Elite League.
  11. 'Meanwhile, Plymouth will be looking to make a new signing in time for their opening home match in the Premier League against Edinburgh at the St Boniface Arena on Saturday evening (7.15pm).' The article says that Benko is injured but not how badly and doesn't say whether the signing is for him or not! http://www.plymouthdevils.co/redcar-v-plymouth-koc-review.html
  12. Mildenhall have ridden 4 meetings now and I make their averages: Jacobs 8.71* Bates 7.49* Halsey 7.43* Coles 6.54 Mountain 5.75 Kingston 5.56 Johnson 4.84* * Jacobs, Bates, Halsey and Johnson haven't ridden 4 meetings yet.
  13. Coventry have ridden 4 meetings now and I make their averages (including bonus points in brackets): Nielsen 7.76 (9.41) Crang 7.37 (8.42) O. Greenwood 6.89 [only done 3 meetings] D. Greenwood 7.53 (9.41) Sarjeant 9.11 (9.11) Terry-Daley 5.71 (7.05) Knuckey 3.00 (3.43)
  14. At this point in the season you can guess the riding order anyway. The only possible change forCoventry is running R/R at2 and Crang at 3 but Kent will be exactly the same. I can think of many more reasons to not go than not knowing the riding order before hand. You could always check the line-up in the programmer the guy stood next to you anyway.
  15. Before everyone starts complaining about teams being weak again. Cradley fans: did you enjoy the meeting? Was the racing good or was it gate and go stuff?
  16. Presumably, on the BSPA site Verge and Govier are declared in the side now, so I'm not sure how Govier can ride as a number 8. I would've thought Chapman or Kirby would have to be the number 8 with the other a 'guest'.
  17. They're just this years averages and the green sheets use rolling averages so they're not the same figure. Anders looks as if he's going to be back sooner than expected but in the mean time, had a 'proper' number 1 have scored 6 yesterday Scunny would have got a league point! But the team has been inconsistent with no-one standing out as the obvious choice to drop to me, maybe Auty for me but he's carrying an injury and just signed a full contract! If those 4 are struggling is swapping a 3.00 man for another really going to make much of a difference tbh? I'm surprised Blackbird missed out. Do you or Scunthorpe fans know why, or was it just averages? As to Sarjeant Coventry Storm are a Friday track even if the Bees don't ride on a Friday much.
  18. Reading Ipswich's 2014 averages was interesting so here are Scunthorpe's: Home/away - overall (overall including bonus points) Douglas 8.60/4.80 - 6.49 (6.67) Howe 6.67/5.68 - 6.16 (6.70) Birks 6.40/5.07 - 5.83 (6.63) Auty 5.33/6.12 - 5.75 (6.13) Jorgensen 4.71/6.44 - 5.60 (6.17) Numerous guests at # 1 4.44/4.33 - 4.38 (5.33) Williamson 1.33/2.57 - 2.00 (2.15) Clearly guests aren't working, only Douglas is scoring over his average, and Auty's figure is inflated by his 14 from 5 at Sheffield.
  19. Converted NL averages don't exist. You either use a previous PL one, if he's never been in the PL before he's a 3.00, or they randomly make up their own rules and reassess.
  20. I'm not sure if it's different this year but previously the first rider missing in your 2-5 war covered by R/R (so that's Kerr) and your number 7 (so Rose) is covered by a 3.00 National League guest, who is someone who doesn't have another PL team and hasn't achieved over 4.00 in the PL before which rules out Smart, Mallett & Carr. For me Sarjeant is the obvious choice, but I'd like to see them go with BDJ or Kingston.
  21. Danny Ayres was supposed to ride for Scunthorpe, after a few MDL meetings, so I wonder what happened to that...
  22. He was declared in the Scunthorpe team originally so I think he's one of the two moto cross riders that they wanted.
