Hi, Thanks, I can now narrow it down a bit futher as I still have a "vsra" membership card dated 1990 so it must have been some time between 1984 and 1990
thanks for reply but the first association which was formed in 1957 was the Vetern Dirt Track Riders Association this later became the Vetern Speedway Riders Association and later still became the World Speedway Riders Association. It is the date of the change from Dirt Track Riders to Vetern Speedway Riders that I'm looking for. I know it was still the Dirt Track Riders in 1979 as I have a membership card.
Hi,
Can anyone tell me when the Vetern Dirt Track Riders association changed its name to the Vetern Speedway Riders Association which in 2006 became the World Speedway Riders Associaton?
Possibably a "Victor Martin" framed grasstrack bike: Les Lindsey rode at Kingsdown grasstrack after losing his road licence for speeding on Blunsdon Hill: Date of photo would therfore have been between 1949 to 1952
Hi, You are correct, Glyn has lived in Alderney for the past 35 years and Gordon is still living in Guernsey. Both are in their early seventies and still going strong.
Spoke to Glyn Chandler who says accident happened at Exeter in 1963 while he and Chris were both riding for St Austell. Follow St Austell team mate Ray Wickett passed away several years ago.
Hi,
I have the 1955 silver sash and would like to know who held during that year.
Riders names I already have are Pete Mould, Glyn Chandler and Mike Broadbanks.
Does anyone know of other riders.
