They may have. However, we do not know what efforts they made to find a suitable guest bearing in mind it was Good Friday. Great effort by the Kent team and what a pair of reserves they have. No Kent fans can be disappointed with this team surely?

There is something fundamentally wrong with whatever material Plymouth have on their surface. I was in Cornwall working last Thursday and rushed back to Plymouth to watch the woeful meeting between Plymouth and IOW. It is obviously to fine, hence the dust and also the reason riders could not ride it properly. It is outrageous that riders have been blamed for what is a poorly prepared track. I wont be rushing back again.

I take it from this post that you do have an understanding which is fine. However, it is quite irrelevant to me and quite clearly the event should never have been given to Peterborough. -

No, there is no limit to the level of criticism this situation deserves. Clearly Peterborough are incapable of hosting an event like this. The change of time is unforgivable, unprofessional and unacceptable. I was travelling in a car of 5 on a 5 hour journey to this event with an aim of being home with drop offs by Midnight. We are now not travelling but will support the SRBF. We will obviously not benefit from seeing one of the best line ups put together for this event. -
If a fatality occurred, God forbid, it would be classed as corporate manslaughter. What does it take for this promotion to wake up and face reality. Surely not a fatality.

I am not the greatest fan of health and safety but surely there is now a case for the Health and Safety Executive to step in in relation to the lighting and generator issue before someone is seriously injured or worse. There must be change.

This is a public relations message from the Stoke speedway promotion. Thankyou for your support in 2017. Happy Christmas. Hohoho. David and Nigel.

Sometimes life just does not get any better than this! Matt Fraud will not be sleeping well tonight! -
Swindon Sprockets - Plymouth Devils 11.5.17
roguetrader replied to A ORLOV's topic in National League Speedway
I agree. Anyone bothered to look at the greensheets for next week? Swindon hand picked sprockets 55 Plymouth Devils 35 If you hand pick your team with the best riders available and expect a fair contest then you will be disappointed. It makes a mockery of this competition. -
Plymouth V Eastbourne 21st April

Where am I going Darren? I will be at Plymouth Friday. Why am I fickle? You need to read posts a little bit more carefully. -

That is very true but sadly unrealistic. Lewy is spot on in his statement about Plymouth sports fans. Why do you think the Premier League team struggled to get support? I dont like it because I think you should support your team through thick and thin but Plymouth fans in general need winning teams to follow. One bad meeting can be managed. If they begin to string together there will be a problem. Trouble is where do the management turn to to find replacement riders? There were some bad choices in the first place which may cost dearly. -
Well done Scunthorpe on signing Stefan Nielsen. An absolute travesty that has been put right.

Well it looks like your offer of free beer is safe at the moment! However, that could change when he is bike and race fit.

Surely Plymouth have missed a trick by losing Matt Bates to Eastbourne. I know points limits are just that but in terms of putting together a balanced side you have to think they have got this wrong. Maybe time will tell. Will be interesting to see who the 7th rider is on Friday. I suspect Plymouth will have a long tail..... Still great to still have them in the League still.
-
Matt Bates is a rider that has never rode to his potential yet! Great signing by Eastbourne and you have to think Plymouth have missed a trick here. Bates has a great riding style and is very fast. If he can improve his gating skills then Eastbourne will have a gem in the team.

Save Speedway From "death By Eu"
roguetrader replied to 4thbender's topic in National League Speedway
We are not leaving until 2019 so it is a problem. We have to comply with all laws and directives until then so there are some serious consequences for speedway. -
Dont worry, Plymouth are going to fly him in every week.

Thankyou.

I am not sure which year Benji is carrying his 8.95 average from because according to speedway-statistics his National League average for 2016 was 5.45.

This is obviously not turning out to be the team the new promotion wanted. Not sure what it is about Plymouth but they have never put together a team that could confidently compete for honours. Is it the location? There are now obviously some question marks about this team which has weakened by having to move Walker into the main body of the team. I really hope that the riders they have chosen repay the trust that has been put in them, particularly Boxall. There are much stronger teams around so a tough season ahead.
-
Full marks to the Isle of Wight. I really hope that Mr Mullins repays the trust and hope that has been put in him.
-
I am a huge fan of what the Isle of Wight have achieved. However, I just do not understand the signing of Mullins. Little talent and must be the most unreliable rider ever. Inevitably he will let the Warriors down so they must already have an alternative plan.

Why have you changed your name little thumper? Have you irritated to many people?

Really sad to hear of Bryn's passing. What a true Gentleman and an out and out speedway legend. Rest in Peace Bryn.

Is James Shanes riding National League this season? Surely Plymouth are after him. Would it be a risk with his grasstrack and longtrack commitments especially after choosing the scarlet pimpernel Boxall.
