  1. I really hope Plymouth can field a competitive team, I remember the days when we (Glasgow) struggled to get a decent team, thankfully due to our current promotion, riders now want to come to Glasgow, however I realise the rider pool is getting smaller year on year,no idea what the answer is. I would like the championship to have 2 x 2 pointers at reserve and give them at least 2 protected rides.
  2. I have noticed Ashton shutting off at times when in traffic, but it is not all the time, seems to be more when on inside gate, however in Glasgow's final match with Oxford he was mixing it and doing a bomber pass on the outside, he scored 12 from 4 rides, was excluded in his first for returning to pits. He is only 17 , I am quite sure he will be a top rider some day, his gating skills and speed are remarkable for his limited experience. I am sure if Bomber is his mentor then he will learn how to mix it without being injured.
  3. Very much doubt Glasgow are doing an NDL team, I personally would like them to have one ,but unfortunately any junior meeting we have had has been poorly attended even under 21 final
  4. Ridiculous that Oxford can hold the championship to ransom, let them run 2 teams and give us 2 home and 2 away
  5. Think it will be 40, certainly hope it will be. I suspect the powers that be want to delete championship to become a tiny bit better than NDL in order to make premiership look so much better. Despite the fact that championship has been the best league for many years. This deason has been a disaster fixture wise and the fact that particularly 1 club is against 2h and 2a because they run 3 teams is not good for the whole sport, let them drop their championship team or allow 2h 2a
  6. I think bridges have been burnt there when they were dropped at Leicester
  7. Their ambition for championship to be a tiny bit above ndl level
  8. I very much doubt Sam Masters would ever be at Glasgow, more likely to be at Edinburgh
  9. True, however another year with fixtures so far apart will kill us off quicker, if not a premiership then lets have a proper ndl team along with championship, I do realise that junior racing is generally not well supported at present but if it meant racing most weeks instead of 5 week gaps it may work
  10. We don't get many away fans as it is on a Friday, I am sure we would get some on a monday or thursday initially as very few premiership fans have been to Glasgow
  11. If Oxford can do it, why not Glasgow, our facilties are great and racing is top notch, we don't get the away fans that we used to, so that is not an excuse, although I suspect we could get a few to see riders like, Doyle, Janowski, Bewley etc, would be interesting to hear Tatum and his top draw racing when on tv if we had Basso and Harris
  12. Vinnie's girlfriend is one of the Glasgow volunteers
  13. Well done Workington on your 1st season back in championship, lovely set up there, you had a team with a few unknowns and coped well, to make the play offs was an astounding result and you may have gotten further if you had your full team without injuries. Hopefully you can get back some of the Derwent park fans and continue to do well next season. Believe it or not a lot of Glasgow fans were supporting you to do well, shame that there are 1 or 2 Workington fans dislike us, but for the most part you are a friendly lot. You have Steve Lawson who is very well thought off at Glasgow, you also have my fave rider Craig Cook and Claus is also loved by Glasgow fans. I look forward to some friendly rivalry next season.
  14. Would love them at Glasgow, but would they like the travel
  15. Probably but with Bomber, he has expressed that he wants to stay with Glasgow until he retires, loves the track, can't see him not at Glasgow
  16. So, why does the official green sheet averages have him as a 4 when he started at 2
  17. We certainly hope he is in a competitive team next year too, this year has been a massive disappointment, Chris has held the team together and won us matches that we didn't deserve to win. We have finished our season below the starting average of 38 and that takes some doing. The positive is that despite all the travelling Chris would love to stay at Glasgow until he retires as he loves the track, so hopefully that will work out as he is a joy to watch especially when he doesn't gate.
  18. Comets are through even if you lose, congratulations, alot of tigers fanswish you well, despite your hatred of us
  19. King sustained a foot injury at Oxford v Redcar and Jenkins a scaphoid injury in same match
  20. Poole supporters hijack everyones thread
  21. And his real average is likely to be even lower than 4
  22. That will be a disaster, how can someone so good on the continent look like a novice here, he backs off in first bend if anyone is near him, and if he gates, rides all the wrong lines and gets passed
