  1. Glasgow are having a difficult season, anyone can see that, but they are trying there best...okay so far they haven't won much at all , but the effort is there, and some of the boys have spent a fortune trying to fix problems....that with our new boys not having raced for sometime it was always going to be difficult against Berwick....Most of the Glasgow fans appreciate what the new promotion are trying to achieve and we live in hope that things will improve for us....The promotion have run up a huge phone bill trying to get top riders to come to Glasgow ,but the minute they hear it is a Sunday race day then it is no thanks Poland comes first!! But the team we have , I will support through good times and bad....BUT what gets on my nerves is the CONSTANT jibes from SMUGVILLE aka Monarch supporters about how bad we are and how wonderful it is that we are getting beat....Yes Monarchs have a great team and will be right up there at the end of the season and I have congratulated them on their efforts many times this season, as I genuinely love good speedway , and give credit where credit is due. When Glasgow won the league in 2011 , I did not see Glasgow fans berating the monarchs to the extent that we are experiencing this season...So come on Edinburgh fans give us a break...rant over
  2. Lawson guesting for Kennett,, good choice of guest as he is unbeatable at Ashfield, losing Barrett helps us as he is good for 7 rides and loads of points, will depend who they get to guest for him, probably be r/r for Kozza if he is not fit, should be very interesting indeed
  3. Should be a cracker indeed, with hopefully the Tigers getting the win. Thankfully Henning seems to have got over his recent slump and is getting some points, Joe Screen has been holding the team together and will do the Biz, just needs to get his first heat sorted...James G has had a difficult few weeks and it is very unusual for him not to be winning heats, so fingers crossed he has put that behind him and is back on winning ways.. Joe Jacobs and Joey Ringwood ...cant fault them for effort, sometimes gets into difficulty as trying to hard and the newboys ...looking forward to seeing how they go....let's face it ..things can only get better !!
  4. Will be missed, he has had a great career, hopefully will still give help to the youngsters.. It has been a pleasure having him as captain these last few years, so along with James Grieves Glasgow will miss the pair of them , they have been a great servant to speedway
  5. Well Andre looked as if he was up for it today...think he will be a good signing, a definite improvement on James Wright and with Harley going home as well, it will put Joey down to reserve when he is fit, can't wait to see who the scandinavian is ?
  6. Cookie is awesome .....and well done to Max Fricke too...knew he had class ...wanted him in my team at start of season but fair plat to the Monarch they did very well with a battered team...going to take some beating when they are all fully fit
  7. Hopefully our James Grieves will be back to his best and the others will carry on as they have been, think it will be close but we should take the win , gutted I will miss it , but will be checking updates
  8. I don't like it when they say there is to be an announcement !! It always fills me with dread
  9. I thought that Sean would have replaced James in heat 13 with JJ or Harley, but James came out on Joey Ringwood's bike for that one , still finished last but was a bit more on the pace. Well done to scorpions for putting on a show. Thought Joe Jacobs was unlucky to be excluded for moving at the start, he was not the only one moving ! Great meeting for Henning , swapping to no. 2 seemed to have helped . Can't wait for the Tigs to click all at once, oh and James Wright did well too and super Joe Screen, gaining legend status around Ashfield
  10. Brilliant meeting Thought we were going to lose at one point but fair play to the lads they pulled it off...Got to thank Newcastle for giving it a go, they must be disappointed to only get 1 point.. Glasgow:- Joe Screen...what can you say, he is masterful when on song!!, perhaps in hindsight should have went by James G in heat 13 instead of trying to protect him, but did the business in heat 15 to secure the win. Joey Ringwood... great win in heat 6, getting there though , has had some really tough rides so far this season. James Wright... did much better this week, surprised he didnt get the pick for heat 15 Henning Bager... missing his celebrations , looking very slow so far this season James Grieves...although he got the points, was lacking speed/power..expensive ef in heat 15 Harley Horwood... can be very fast if he hits the front , then looks like a novice when at the back, more to come from Harley, needs a confidence boost Joe Jacobs... brilliant riding from young Joe , coming on leaps and bounds, going to be a star around Ashfield not afraid to mix it !! Newcastle:- Stuart Robson... Brilliant racing , a joy to watch Christian Henry... consistent , more aggressive than he was when riding for Glasgow, Ludvig Lindgren... disappointed in his performance , thought he would have done better Ritchie Worrall... has come on leaps and bounds, has recovered well from his injury last year ( in my fantasy league team) Lewis Kerr... didnt know much about him but also looks a star in the making Steve Worrall...struggled a bit. great meeting !!!, hope we put on a show tomorrow at Newcastle but I fear a tonking at brough, you live in hope though
  11. Redcar deserved a point today , we got a bit of luck when Wilko had an ef... Screeny was superb, Joey nearly had an awesome pass , he is going to be exciting to watch. Harley was fast from the gate ... More of that please, young JJ did really well to hold off Micky Dyer... Exciting times at Ashfield this season:)
  12. Love it Paulco..... Joey Ringwood loyal, haven,t seen him race yet and am a member already
  13. Well here's. hoping our new Aussies will do the business
  14. Edinburgh have indeed signed the young Max Fricke ...makes them very strong in my opinion . We ( Glasgow ) on the other hand will probably end up in our usual position of second bottom but we live in hope nonetheless !
  15. Well disappointed , was hoping Glasgow would sign him ... Reckon the monarchs must be front runners for the league now ((
  16. Edinburgh have just signed Max Fricke ... Makes them very strong ... Major disappointed that Glasgow didn't sign him
  17. If lemo is glasgow bound .. I am sure he would do a good job , as long as we have some youngsters in the team too
  18. Gutted would have loved Sam at Glasgow, he always did well for us as a guest !!
  19. I see Claes Nedermatk has been left out at Newcastle ... What is his average ? Could we fit him in?
  20. Wouldn't mind Barrett in the tigers team .. Seemed to like the Ashfield circuit
  21. Best riders seen this season : Ritchie Worrall, Adam Roynon, Craig Cook, Jason Doyle.. Commendations for Rohan Tungate , Joe Haines and Mason Campton ..
  22. Hope Liam does really well...deserves a chance at competitive racing , seen him at the Ashfield junior meeting last year ( atrocious conditions due to weather) he never gave up and finished 3rd overall ....I think he is a good young british prospect and will do well given the chance ....Good luck Liam
