  1. Taylor has quit speedway according to his twitter...broken femur
  2. Barrett rides our track better than he does at Berwick ...should have joined us at start of the season
  3. . Henning has done a good second string job and he has been better away from home, The problem is people were expecting him to do a heat leader job when James wright quit, and that was unfair..Henning has done the job he was brought in to do..We have been riding with one and a half heat leaders and 4 reserves all season, and I agree that is is a wonder that we haven't been fined for an understrength team... Hopefully next year we can at least be solid at home... On another note no Cookie today so it is R/R for him and Stormy is guest for Max
  4. Well it is a beautiful morning over here in the west , here's hoping it stays sunny for this afternoons match . Would be grand if there was a good crowd and great racing , with a Tigers win or a draw . It has been a very difficult season for the Tigs both on and off the track, hopefully we can put this year behind us and have a good one next year
  5. should be a closer match than previous ones... nice to see Josh and David back in the stripes , even if it is for one match only
  6. Was a close meeting and a draw was a fair result, pretty much all gate and go and we are pretty bad at gating!! However Joey Ringwood's first 4 races were astonishing ...couldn't believe what i was seeing, a bit much to ask him to keep it going , but well done to him for being top scorer. Dakota North also improved , he never gives up but couldn't seem to pass despite trying...maybe he was scared to in case he got excluded lol... James and Henning pairing didn't quite work, seemed to get in each others way, it was Henning's lowest score at home for a while. Theo... was delighted to see him in his Glasgow kevlars and although didn't get a win, he was solid enough and out every race clapping the boys back in... a fabulous team man...wish he was back at Glasgow .. As for Sheffield , Richie Lawson excellent at our track ( should take up his inheritance and ride for us ! Ricky Wells was also excellent , however he is very good at moving on the starts, Facundo Albin got better as the meeting progressed, but r/r got 8 paid 9 points and no way the german would have scored that !! I guess the Tigers will be riding to keep their place for next season ?
  7. Going to be another tough meeting...Sheffield much stronger with guests...Richie Lawson and Aaron Summers as guests both ride Ashfield well and Ricky Wells and Andre Compton can also do us some damage... For the REAL Tigers , Theo Pijper should be okay, Hopefully James will repeat last weeks performance and Dakota wont get excluded!! We need Anders Thomsen to perform like he did at his first Ashfield meeting, all in all it is a hard one to predict, but I live in hope that Glasgow can finally get a win ......Pleeeeeeeeease !!!!!
  8. Screeny's season has finished, Team manager has quit, so a new / stand in manager for Sunday, and a guest for Screeny, who knows what the result will be...It has been a very strange and frustrating season ...Just hope we can build on it and have a good one next year ( if we still run )
  9. That would leave Screeny and Anders as a pairing ...don't think that would work as they ride the same line ( providing Anders bike doesn't fail) Henniing has picked up well in latter part of season and he is better away than at home
  10. Think they should put him at 3 or 4, he hasn't got to grips with Glasgow track though... He also likes the same line as Screeny which can be problematic
  11. MD Dakota made the pass on Kyle hard but fair ... He didn't touch him and in a further heat Doyle locked up and Joey got excluded when he had nowhere to go
  12. Looking forward to my trip down to Owlerton today ..Will be interesting to see how Anders goes round the fast track and Dakota North...A tigers win for sure....but which one will come out on top? Hopefully a good close meeting as both our teams are having a mare of a season
  13. True but he had some good back up..... Josh is a star
  14. Ooft another defeat but a consolation on the performance of Anders Thomsen. Josh was outstanding and fully deserved his maximum ( which I predicted he would get) ,good choice of guest for the Rockets, good back up from Bunyan, must be his best Glasgow score! Aspgren is way to good to be at reserve and was a match winner ..Our reserves are struggling big time as did our skipper today, Unusual to see Joe not scoring well at home.. James Grieves, Anders Thomson and Henning Bager, (even though he only scored 5) deserve praise for effort and Dakota North did well considering it was his first time on the new track, good to see him out practicing at the end of the meeting. Can only see a humping next week against Edinburgh and an even bigger one the following week when Somerset come to town... We live in hope that we will see a home win before the end of season!!
  15. Hopefully this will kickstart our season, and we will finally get a win ...
  16. just on Glasgow facebook page that Compton signed until end of season ( not from official sources) surely an extension does not need to be ratified by BSPA? confusing Emails ... grrr
  17. looks like Dakota North...if you go by twitter feed...That should strenghten us a bit
  18. Hope we put up a fight...will be interesting to see if we have signed anyone and who has lost their place
  19. I very much doubt that you will be trounced at Glasgow , more likely that we will be trounced by the Witches , although we live in hope that we can get our first win in a long time
  20. another tonking on the road methinks. hopefully we will get 30 and our new boys will get more race fit
  21. It gets very wearying after a while Gazc, I love a bit of banter but some of it is downright cruel, think we have enough to put up with lol
