  1. I am sure we can get guests for both as they are in top 3
  2. Dont think he would be first on our list , let us down last year
  3. I wonder how many pages this will go to ? Think the topic has been done to death. Obviously most folk want Craig hung drawn and quartered, but I tell you he puts bums on seats at Glasgow and is box office.
  4. Well said GazC, its all getting a bit much , some folk want Cookie hung drawn and quartered.
  5. You really have a thing against Craig Cook, yes he was in the wrong and will surely pay a price for his actions. He is not the only rider to have lost the plot and acted as he did, but to say that sport would be better without him is nonsense.
  6. Should be a cracker, hoping for Tigers to progress but it will be a tight meeting
  7. He knew before the meeting , he is a professional guy, gutted that he has been dropped as he was unwell last 2 weeks.
  8. What a comeback from the Tigers, when the going got tough they stuck in and got the win , a team performance. Well done lads
  9. Was an excellent match report on Eagles website. I thought at one point the Tigers were going to lose their first home meeting, couldn't see where we could get an advantage, however Kyle Bickley's last to 2nd brought the house down and seemed to wake up the rest of the team, (Cookie apart as he is master of Ashfield and worth admission money alone) I was very impressed with Jason Edwards and Alfie Bowtell (although his ride with Connor Bailey was a bit on the harsh side and the tigers fans let him know.) As for son of God , what a ride he produced in heat 15 although Cookie got him in the end. All in all a very entertaining meeting and excellent performance from the Eagles, not sure if we can pull it off going through as it will be a much tougher task than last time we were at Arlington. We need to be on it from the start on our matches coming up v Leicester and Scunthorpe.
  10. That's a load of rubbish , everyone at Glasgow were of the opinion that the Newcastle meeting would be tough as you had strengthened, we were aiming for a point and hoping for more , but no one was of the opinion we just needed to turn up and get 4 points. Sorry for taking over the Berwick thread.
  11. Tough one for the Tigers , the Diamonds have strenghtened considerable, hopefully we can get a point but Vissing is on his mid season slump and no Cook is also a big loss. On another note , well done to the Diamonds in knocking out the monarchs in the KO cup, hope it is a Diamonds v Bears final as both teams are due a bit of success. Still want the Tigers to win tomorrow though.
  12. Lawson knows ashfield track well, so it doesn't really matter that he is against us on Tuesday, and Cookie will be back for that one anyway
  13. Congratulations to the Diamonds , hope it is a Redcar - Newcastle final as both teams are due a bit of success
  14. Cant see it , who are you suggesting would be dropped and who would replace ?
  15. Everyone hates Glasgow now that they have money behind them , jealousy is a terrible thing. It wasn't that long ago that we were threatened with closure and at the bottom of the league, year after year but we still went home and away to support the team. We always congratulate the team that has beaten us. The money jibes are getting very tiresome.
  16. Congratulations to the Bears , the better team over 2 legs, Nathan Greaves the match winner for you. We missed Rasmus on Tuesday for sure, however it may not have made much difference as we struggled on the track as it was totally different to the previous week, this due to major track work being done during the week to fix the bends, resulting in it breaking up a bit. I hope the Bears go on and win the cup , they deserve some success and they are going to push a few teams this season.
  17. We sorely missed Rasser at Redcar as he would have undoubtedly scored more than Proctor's 4 points. 12 points to make up is do-able, however Vissing needs to be on it.
  18. The meeting was closer than the points suggest, Vissing was mediocre, he needs to get out of this regular mid season dip, he was gifted points when Perks retired while on a 5-1 Brummies fought hard and shouldn't be downhearted. Shanes is one exciting rider to watch and Adam Ellis was very sharp out the gate. Wish the Brummies well and thanks for the lovely welcome received to the travelling Glasgow fans. It was a long journey home but worth it.
  19. Well done to the bears , better team on the night , cracking pass by Charles Wright to beat Cookie , not many people will do that.
