  1. Actually Authorised is also heavily into Covs cause so I wouldn't take it as too much of a compliment. I fail to see how anyone can side with their stance. Whether they feel unfairly treated or not you don't do something so stupid as to threaten legal action against someone you are trying to work with. My boss is exactly the same as Sandhu. He is always threatening to take people to court if he doesn't get what he wants. He is loaded and it is embarrassing to hear him use this threat so often. I always hope that they call his bluff and take him to the cleaners.
  2. Yes yes yes we know that not all parties voted it in. I agree if you don't like it then the best option is to leave. But don't expect your employer just to change the rules for you, especially if those rules are put in place to protect the long term interests of the company.
  3. You are implying that the company is victimising one party. The rules apply to everyone and the rules in this instance are voted in by all parties.
  4. If you look up the word Democracy one of the definitions is Majority Rule.
  5. I agree - dont vote for it if you dont agree with it and if it turns out that your vote is in the majority - great. But if you are going to turn your back on the decision making process you are inviting trouble.
  6. Majority decision / democratic decision - however it is dressed up this is the way that the decisions are made. I don't understand how being pedantic helps much. Either way the BSPA are looking at the best interests of the sport. Or am I inviting the conspiracy theory back into the argument?
  7. Who is claiming that they know everything that has happened. The whole mess is over rule changes imposed by the BSPA which Cov and P'boro couldn't handle. Have you been asleep for the last month?
  8. If a sporting governing body put proposed rule changes to the vote which are then voted in democratically how can this be illegal. How much more clearly would you like me to put it?
  9. Please explain to me what is illegal about the decision making of a sporting governing body?
  10. Exactly. Everyone talks about legal action. On what grounds? The BSPA have no case to answer.
  11. I've just read it. Sandhu offered the BSPA mediation. The BSPA didn't go to Sandhu. This backs up SS.
  12. This is a major issue. Once you have made a threat you will always be treated with a certain amount of trepidation. Both Sandhu and Frost(or their representatives) will be looked upon with a certain amount of mistrust after this episode.
  13. Rumour has it that this is not the case. Sandhu approached the BSPA. But then again it depends on who is your source of information. It would appear that bits of information has leaked but not in enough detail for anyone to make concrete statements.
  14. Did they look at it or act on it? They may have considered how far they would get with it. Every sport has governing bodies that make rule changes for the good of the sport. What is the point in appointing a governing body and then trying to contest the decisions through the courts. The sport may as well just give up if it has that ball and chain round its neck.
  15. Very interesting. A legal case because they don't like the rules as declared by the democratic governing body. Personally I don't believe a lawyer would ever touch that one with a barge pole. It is my opinion that Sandhu has gone cap in hand to the BSPA to try get him out of this hole without losing too much face with Covs fans.
  16. Cov and P'boro failed to declare their intention to compete in the Elite league. That is all that those statements actually say. The rest of the league had to move on. What were the implications of stating the truth??
  17. Have to agree entirely with this statement. It seems that Cov fans are as full of themselves as their owner, perhaps we would be better off without them.
  18. I am not saying that they were robbed. Just pointing out the flaws in your logic. It makes a big difference having a rider like Pawlicki at reserve which is why Cov are desperate to keep him on the 4.
  19. Its not quite that simple. If Pawlicki had scored 11 points less that would result in a 22 point swing so the play offs would have been tied if that were the case. If he had scored 12 points less that would result in a two point win for Poole. (Failure to score one point results in a two point swing to the opposition.)
  20. We have all seen riders score bucket loads of points from reserve only for the points to dry up once moved into the main body of the team. So there is no guarantee of a comparable points haul.
  21. However. I am sure it has already been stated that every riders finishing average has to be ratified by the BSPA. Pawlicki was clearly riding above that average and but for the manipulation would have finished on 6.18.
  22. No one has said that Cov were not deserved champions. However the loophole which was exploited by Cov to ultimately defeat Poole had to be closed.
  23. So very true. I spend a lot of hard earned cash travelling the country to watch this sport. None of it will be going to Coventry.
