  1. If it was ultimately revealed that there were less than 50 hits on the Birmingham website on the night in question how would this make AP Media look.
  2. This is clarification: It is a matter of fact that AP Media switched off the Brummies site without any prior notification. Emails exist from AP Media to that effect. Emails also exist from AP Media from last Winter that would leave no person in any doubt as to AP Medias motivation in their disgraceful actions recently.
  3. I have it on good authority that an extension to the 10pm curfew was not applied for. If the moaners who tried to prevent full planning permission had their ears to the wall last night we'll probably get a kick up the arse from Birmingham Council.
  4. Just come back from a holiday in the South West and got to see both the Redcar and Somerset meetings. I love the racing at the SBA. Redcar were very dominant from the gate and fully deserved their win and I was very surprised that the Devils got anything from the Somerset meeting being without Bech, although Somerset did look very weak at reserve. Just one small complaint about the new stand on the back straight which provides excellent viewing - it was announced in the Redcar meeting that it's a stand for non-smokers but I counted four people standing near to us who were smoking. Personally it didn't bother me too much but I had to prevent my wife from making a scene about it. Does anyone enforce the no smoking rule in that stand?
  5. That would be a tragedy. It's about time that the morons who follow football so avidly stop turning these undereducated brain donors into millionaires. Football in this country is at its lowest ebb ever and yet people still fork out a huge slice of their hard earned cash to fund it. To say I'm pissed off with football is a huge understatement. Give me speedway anytime. Keep CCFC out of Brandon.
  6. If it wasn't blatantly obvious beforehand it is now crystal clear that other than Woffinden we have nothing at this level. Is there any way that this slide into obscurity can be arrested.
  7. Unfortunately we resemble the national football team. They all think they're good but in reality they're crap. With the exception of one or two.
  8. Barker and King at 3 and 4, Richie Worrall at reserve. Kennett and Cook have looked well out of their depth tonight, neither looking comfortable on this track. May as well give someone else a chance, its not as though we have a cat in hells chance of winning the thing.
  9. Barker would have loved this. Can't believe Kennett was Morris's choice.
  10. Seems as though there is some serious stirring and mishief making going on here and all because certain people have been found out and are now pointing the finger at a very hard working member of staff. When the new owners took over they were new to this game and had no option other than listen to the BS they were being fed, but things are changing. They are very good businessmen and have had a year to weigh things up and have decided on the best way forward for the club. It is the owners who hire and fire and accept resignations - no one else. If certain people have tendered their resignations and they have been accepted then this proves that they were dispensable.
  11. While its fantastic news that Plymouth have the two year extension is there any indication as to what will happen after that. Is there any possibility that the land may ultimately be purchased from the college by the new consortium?
  12. I'll miss his blue jacket. It certainly brightened up the centre green.
  13. You can always go for a dump in the stingers behind the standing area on bends 3 and 4. In fact you could probably still watch the racing.
  14. The source of this information was Graham Drury, given out during a meeting with Birmingham Speedway Supporters Club on 22nd Nov. None of the midland clubs opposed it but Panthers said it would affect their business.
  15. Excellent news. Really pleased for Devils fans. Looking forward to a few trips down there next year.
  16. Indeed. The letters/emails of support sent to the college may have had some effect. Keep sending them in and keep the sport alive and thriving in Plymouth.
  17. Reading this thread it's become apparent that JJR isn't just playing one poor soul like a violin, he has control of the whole of the string section. Its a virtuoso performance.
  18. I'd just like to add my support to whoever takes Plymouth Speedway into 2013. I'm based in Birmingham but travel to the West Country two or three times a year. I always make sure that my trips coincide with Plymouth home meetings - the racing is superb, there is always a good crowd, the track may be small and the facilities a bit bare but there is something about the place which keeps me coming back for more. I hope for the sake of all Plymouth fans that this mess is sorted out - you have a little gem at the SBA.
  19. Perhaps everyone is just looking for reasons as to why we are so sh1te. I know there are exceptions but the general image I get of the British scene is that we are in no way as dedicated or professional as the Aussies, Danes, Swedes or Poles. (soon be able to add the Russians to that list).
