  1. That could present a problem for MJJ and Sundstrom who are due to be at Coventry for Panthers!!!
  2. Announced as a 'Test match', sanctioned by SCB and BSPA! As its not promoted by Matt Ford then thats OK then!!!!!!! Not just a 'fixture-filler' then?!
  3. Interesting that in the repeat showing on Sky today, they have still got the interview but 'bleeped out' his comments about the referee!!
  4. MF has no influence over Szcepaniak as he's not a Poole asset!! Unfortunately....!
  5. Bearing in mind your progress towards inebriation, did you mean a 'brilliant anchor'? Or was it a slip of the tongue???! Well done to Chris and a Poole 1-2-3.
  6. Nice one Dennis - 18 point max should set you up nicely for Poole's remaining fixtures!
  7. Nice report and write-up in the Speedway Star about the International Test Match together with Mark Lemon's comments about how good it was to win back the Ashes!! Not bad for an 'unofficial fixture filler'!!!!
  8. In that race, Ward let Eddie go as it was more a battle between Ward and Barker!!! I can't think why??!! Otherwise, Kennett looked woefully off the pace. while Ward was totally on it!! Not a bad meeting really and some reasonable performances by some of the 'lesser lights'. ps. One final piece of hilarity - on the victory parade, Batchelor's air suit blew up!!
  9. Well if its good enough for Mark Lemon to call it 'The Ashes Test Match' then its good enough for me!!
  10. Maybe no other promoters wanted to take the risk!!??. As Poole Season ticket holders can use their passes, I guess its MF not the BSPA that are promoting it. And why not call it a 'Test Match'? rather than a 'friendly' or something similar, if it gets more people through the turnstyles. Although I guess now that Holder is unlikely to ride, it becomes a less attractive fixture for the locals.
  11. Bridger (and possibly Woffy) doubtful. Roynon, Cook and Auty on standby, with Adam first in line!
  12. I wonder if Bridger will be replaced? He is clearly not fit after his crash at Blunsdon!!
  13. It was posted on the Poole forum yesterday by the forum administrator who is also Poole's PR man, just after Lemo announced the Aussie team on Facebook. Middlo confirmed it in interview on Centre green last evening. Hope thats ok for everyone.
  14. Well would you ride with a recently repaired collarbone - if you didn't have to?!
  15. Team GB is:- 1.Barker 2.Bridger 3.Harris 4.Kennett 5.King 6.Nicholls 7.Woffinden
  16. Sullivan and Crump have a love/hate relationship. Crump hates Sullivan and so do all Crump's mates!! Sullivan loves to be on his own!
  17. So it is ok to win at all costs, rather than just take part then?! Just checking.......!
  18. Well its not as if 3 of the senior Brits have been performing that well on their own home track, is it?!
  19. I think I'm right in saying that Promoters have to pay a fee (to the BSPA?) to stage a Test Match, ie. they have to bid for it - assuming other tracks were interested?!" The meeting then becomes a BSPA 'shared event', with all proceeds, after covering all stadium costs, going to the BSPA rather than the promoting club. So well done Matt Ford.
  20. One of Scotty's and Bomber's favourite tracks!! I wonder if Crumpie will ride?
  21. Every year, but each team with a reserve is all the tweaking required. And if the reserve is used to replace a rider 'feigning' injury or just off-form, so what?!
