That would of been the Heffo meeting at Ipswich in QLD, yes there was a few shall we say loose riders but it was the 1st time many of them had ever ridden there. It's a 290mt track with long straights & very tight turns. Some boys were strugglin but I think jakes biggest problem was he got 2 4th places & wasn't happy. Even some of the boys with UK racing under there belt found the goin a bit hard at 1st, but every1 got better as the day went on, IMO.

Thank you, the young rider I help in Aussie was suppose to go but as the meeting got moved from place to place it became to much of a head spin to organise gear.

Over here in convict country, it's starts at 3am & goes till 6am. Fingers crossed anyway.

Dave Parker: Same here in Aussie Nick, the 3 main bike tracks have Airfences, but there are so many car/bike tracks around Australia, it would be impossible to have all tracks use Airfences. Also and not for one moment say it doesn't happen, but Sidecars are as big or bigger in Australia than Solo's and they "normally" don't spear off into the fence. If we banned all tracks that didn't have an Airfence, we would have 3 tracks in Australia which is about 4 times the size of Europe. That would crucify Speedway in Australia Dave Parker is the promoter/president of the Gillman speedway track in adelaide. It is 1 of only 3 tracks with air fences. Most of the tracks in Aussie are run by dirt bike clubs, speedway just gets the odd club day here & there. I don't think that any of the clubs would like to buy a fence that only gets used half a dozen times a year. A lot of our tracks only have a timber fence at 1 end as we have 2/3 tracks built on the 1 track. Google North Brisbane motorcycle club & you will see what I mean. Even my local track in Ayr, North Queensland only has a fence at 1 end. Turns 1&2 runs out onto another track. Sorry for the long post. Cheers duane.

Why does it take so long to run a EL match? In Aussie we run JNR (u16)125's, JNR (u16)250's, solos & sidecars all on the same day(club days) & night(proper speedway) with between 40/50 heats & it's usually done in within 3 to 4 hours.

Just got sent a text msg from Watty, that's agent watt to u keyboard warriors, he has fractured his T3 & T4.

Some one posted earlier that watty should worry about himself & not the other riders in the team, if he does that then you will be whinging that he isn't a team player! Yes watty loves Poole, but he also loves the hammers & he ain't riding for the money as the elite league in England don't really pay that much. DD.

I'd rather have PK/Watt, who can team ride then Bridger/Bech who wouldn't have a clue. I did see in Sweden the other day that Watt was the highest point scorer out of both teams, not to bad for a old slapper.

I thought it was a good meeting to watch, I was up at 4-30 am Aussie time. For the hammers, Lawson, Morley & Ellis I think are going great, bridger& bech have no idea about teams riding, PK needs some good motors in England & watty did what watty does, scored points. The stars just plugged away. NKI is just a sensational rider & Lewis Kerr has the goods me thinks. Cheers Duane.
