Poole v Ipswich. Prem. 18th July 2019
Bash replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not a lot of choice for guests on Bombers average. Bewley, S Worrall, Tungate. I think MR RR will be making an appearance. So Poole better beware of a "patched up" team. -
Ipswich v Poole Prem. 11/6/19

Congrats to Poole on their win, totally outgated us all night, but one bad result doesn't take away from us what we have done this season. We are still in a good position for the play-offs whereas everyone had us down as cannon fodder to finish bottom of the league. Poole chose the right guests except Newman. Just because it is a patched up side, it was probably a stronger team than their own team as they could choose track specialists as guests (Brady doesn't ride Ipswich that well so they probably got more for RR then he would've). I just wish that certain Poole fans would give as much credit to a team that has beaten them instead of making up every excuse under the sky when they lose. -

As long as it's the Danny Ayres in his last ride at the fours. If not Jake could be getting an extra ride. -

Looking forward to this tonight after the way the six witches rode at the fours. -

At the fours last weekend the inside was still the fastest line and most of the passing was done using this line, so I hope they have learnt from that. -
Good day for the Witches at Peterborough in the championship fours. Danny broke his own track record. Beat cookie in a run off for second overall. Bomber only dropped 2 points from his five rides in helping Somerset win. Kennett, Heeps & Lawson all in the mix and Jake had two rides and hopefully came through with no after effects. Bodes well for when we go there in eight days time. Noticed that Edward had a number 6 on his machine today so would guess that’s what number he will riding at next month.

Peterborough V Swindon 20th June
Bash replied to maneacat's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bellego only scored 4+1 earlier in the season for Ipswich at Peterborough. -
We don’t seem to be having any luck with our choice of guests at the moment. Maybe we should pick guests from the championship who aren’t riding for a premiership team so we get 100% from them, someone like Ryan Douglas who is averaging 9 in the championship this season. Even Josh Auty would’ve been better around the AFA. Anyway a good 2 points tonight to surprise a few more people who keep writing us off.

Didn't you have any Hackett polo shirts
-
Sorry Baldyman can't make tonight, typical as weather is good, but other commitments tonight. Hope to make Peterborough away in a couple of weeks.

Nike Tn for me have about 16 different pairs. Going to wear a different pair to every Ipswich home meeting. 8 down and 8 to go. Will have to buy more if we make the playoffs.
-
We should’ve signed Grajczonek from Poole, he comes with ready made Ipswich kevlars
-
Swindon isn't a big track now and Bellego didn't do much when we rode there.
-
Will they just slot Edward in at number 4 or change the pairings.
-
Maybe they tried but couldn't agree a deal at the time.
-
I think they had to make the change, with all the clubs below us strengthening up we couldn't afford to sit back just because we are second in the league at the moment. Kennett has been mentioned quite a bit this season and should do a good job. How long before he gets his kevlars & bike covers. Proves how much the Cook signing was premeditated. Scott Nicholls signs for Peterborough before Cook for KL, but Cook has his kevlars & bike covers but Nicholls doesn't.

Bellego definitely needs to up his game tonight, can't afford him to get a big fat zero again. I'll settle for any win tonight as we do look a bit vulnerable tonight. -
We were missing a decent track to ride on at Poole, seen the meeting on DVD and can understand the flak it's taken this year.
-
No I have to agree with you there, we only lost by 2 at your place & easily won at Foxhall, so we are better than Poole's team.
-
Bit like Poole's team then, but we have better reserves. Top 5 only ran two last places which will keep us in meetings until the end. You keep writing us off.
