Top 10 Riders On Current Form
mikebaker replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Number 4 should read Richard Lawson. William Lawson retired from the sport after the 2010 season. -
There are not alot of options to be honest. Out of riders who rode last year and who have not in the UK this. Topinka 6.78 (most Comets fans not happy with him last year) Hefenbrock 6.50 (if fit) Kozza Smith 7.19 ( if any where near fit) Ben Wilson 6.10 Sergey Darkin 6.53 As i mentioned in an earlier post, a new Dane on assessed 7.00. Rasmus Jensen, a good prospect.

Always liked Rusty, and was surprised when he came back to the sport in 2009 for Birmingham. This makes the title race wide open now, after events over the last few days. Will be intresting who the Comets opt for, perhaps take a gamble on a new Dane or Swede.

Official Teams For 2012
mikebaker replied to skittle_face's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Mark Jones confirmed as the replacement for Rob Branford on the Bears Website. -
His performance at Redcar was nothing to write home about. He won heat 1, then conceeded a 5-1 to Havvy and Lyons in heat 5. Beaten by Summers while on a tactical ride in heat 11. Another 5-1 to Aaron and Kus in heat 13. Havvy rounded off the night by beating him in heat 15 to complete a paid max. May be un-beatable at home, away a different story.

When Nicki was at Reading in 2008. Was'nt he averaging over 4 and a half. He came in to replace the injured Jamie Smith. Then his season ended through injury.

Great news that Rob is back with the Hitmen for his 3rd season. Anyone intrested in helping Rob with his machinery in 2012, check out, http://www.bears-talk.proboards.com/index.cgi

If the Devils are to off load Boxhall and go with Lanham. How about Bowden having a u-turn on Holder as well and opt for this team Barker 9.87 Kurtz 4.97/ Rajkowski 5.32 Fisher 9.69 Cockle 3.69 Lanham 7.53 Franchetti 3.40 Glanz 3.00 With Kurtz 42.15, the Raj bang on the limit. I would opt for Todd, much more potential.

I think that Sedgmen's confidence was shot to pieces by opting to go full time with Swindon in the first place. To much pressure on him in a very weak Robins team. If he had started the season in the Premier, his season may of been totaly different. Hopefully after his good performances in the Aussie Championships (6th) and runner up in the Under 21s, will continue with us this season.

A real coup for the Devils fans. It should not take Fisher long to master the St. Boniface Arena like he did at Armadale. Both very technical tracks, which the Fish seems to adapt to well. If Boxall can get his machinery sorted, he to should be a good 3rd heat leader at home. If Werner does change his mind again and decides against another comeback, then Kalle Katajisto would fit in at 5.61. With him in the line up, i feel that the Devils would be more than capable of beating most teams at home. Realy pleased for Plymouth fans, they deserve a decent team.

The complete Devils line up is finaly on the BSPA Site. All teams now officially confirmed.

Max Dilger on a 3.00 average. Signed as a full asset from Edinburgh. Confirmed by Havvy Senior at Redcar Bears Xmas Fans Forum at the Bears Bar. -
Ashworth going to the St. Boniface Arena, very good signing. He should of moved from Owlerton 3 years ago. Should make him an overall better rider, and will take the pressure off Barker. You could fit Linus Eklof and Franchetti. Eklof in his short spell at the end of season at Berwick, proved that. Cannot understand the Werner signing, i can remember him guesting for us at Mildenhall in 2008 and he was woeful then. Best things Devils fans can hope is that he decides against his latest comeback.
-
Feel sorry for Plymouth fans. On my 2 visits to the St. Boniface Arena this season i was very impressed on the size of the crowd. Bowden deserves to treat Devils fans with a more attractve line up for 2012. Why on earth sign Werner on a 5.83 average, there are so many better options out there. Next, he will be announcing that he is bringing in Sci-co Simon Walker. On the way he has got rid of Gary Spillar, absolutely disgusting. Had a good chat with Gary after our 1st meeting was postponed. I along with all the Bears fans who spoke with him found him a very nice man. He was passionate about the Devils, deserved better. Shame on you Bowden.
-
Werner last rode in 2010. He only did 4 meetings for Somerset. In 2009 he rode in 17 meetings for Newport and attained a 5.83 average.

Peter Juul Larsen could be a good signing for the Devils. He realy tailed off at the S.T.M.P over the 2nd half of the season, and a change of track has to be the way forward for him. He got 10+2 from 6 rides back in July at the St Boniface Arena, and did'nt he get 14 for Team Viking. Danes seem to do well at Plymouth, as shown this season with Kristiensen's home form. Juul and Glanz at reserve should do very well at home. Food for thought, Devils fans.
-
You are most welcome if you want Peter Juul. I hope he is not at Redcar in 2012. No agression and no ability at all to pass. Similar style to Kristiensen, so may be good for points at home, if he gates.
