  1. Watched the meeting via streaming. Another kamikaze move by Fisher on Josh. Won his first ride easily. Hopefully withdrawn as a precautionary measure, and ok for tomorrow.
  2. Had lots of rain Tuesday and Wednesday, currently dry. Brian Havelock was speaking on BBC Tees last night and hoping the meeting would be off. Both Konopka and Crang at reserve, Graversen in the main body now. Stated that a replacement was proving difficult to source. We have up to 6.15. Read into that, but an away win looked highly probable.
  3. R.I.P Simmo. It was way back on the 26th June 1976 at the Intercontinental Final that my nick-name was born. Malcolm finished 4th in the meeting at Wembley. Have still got the t-shirt I bought, stored with loads of other 70s/80s memrobillia. Thoughts to all family and friends. A true British speedway legend. At peace now. xxxxxxx
  4. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I have a lot of respect for George English. Think that the team line up was based on. Lewis Kerr improving at the same rate as Richie Worrall. Lewis Rose having the same start as Kerr did last year in his first season. Rosen to kick on, and be the clubs number 1 by June. He really impressed last year. Imo Lindgren should not have been retained. To me he is to much of an enigma. Like Kus was for us, you cannot rely on him when needed to.
  5. Think the releasing of Henry and Rosen were a bad move. Think to much was expected of Anton to soon. Henry was not riding badly. Ludwig Lindgren was the weak link. Think George has lost his mojo, and hit the panic button.
  6. Well done, especially to Hugh Skidmore, openly admits he hates the Newcastle track. Best possible time to have gone there. But bout time something worked in our favour. Diamonds have a very long tail now. If any of the other 4 have an off night, they are in trouble. A nice 4 point away win, always sweet when it is a derby win.
  7. We had Simon Lambert as a guest, back in 2007. It was at Birmingham in the 2nd leg of the Young Shield Final. Karlis Ezargalis was lined up, but Lambert was brought in as a last minute replacement. Because of his height, does not look relaxed on his machinery.
  8. Do any Devils fans know what is happening with the Alex Davies scenario. Simota was signed as a replacement due to Alex's visa problems. Have the Promotion given up on this, and is Simota being retained.
  9. Good win for the Comets. Would of been a 4 pointer had Bach been fit.
  10. Reading the match report on the Rebels Website. No mention at all about Morris. Take it from that, that Garry May and the Somerset Promotion have no gripes.
  11. Think Adam could end up heading back to Rye. Feel a couple of changes for the Rockets. Roynon for Bunyan, Morley for Lambert. Garrity now replacing Bowen at reserve. The Rockets look a useful team
  12. Last years League meeting, we ran out comfortable winners. That was after conceding a 5-1 in heat 1. Mikkel Bech was an impressive number 1 at the time for Devils. It was also Rasmus Jensen's debut, and I was well impressed with him. Aaron Summers was brilliant for us and carded a 15 point max. Would of been happier if we had gone with Ricky Wells as the guest for Lawson. Pijper has had a poor start to the season, and feel is the wrong choice to cover for Lakeside bound Richard. Konopka did well last night, with paid 7 and a first race win in the UK. Feel the tiny St. Boniface Arena will be a whole new experience for him, but that is the plus side of riding in Britain, the diversity in track size. We should be up to an overall victory on aggregate, but as last weeks home defeat to Sheffield was a surprise, we cannot be complacent.
  13. Bandits fans realising what a total enigma Kus is, and we are only a month into the new season. We had 3 seasons of him, and all the hype that he came with. Enjoy the frustration.
  14. Kus is a total enigma, In the 3 seasons at Redcar, had 2 good away meetings. Paid 16 at your place in 2011. Strangely did nothing at Shielfield after that. 17 at Scunny in 2012. Can't understand all the hype for Jensen. Last rode in the UK 9 years ago. 1 season at the Isle Of Wight. Did well in his own country, so what British conditions and tracks completely different.
  15. Daz Sumner. Subline white liner, like a raw junior on the outside Was fantastic to watch at Ellfield Park. Truly comical at the County Ground. Malcolm Corradine was another total enigma we had the pleasure of at Cleveand Park in 1979. Any long standing Tigers fans remember his exploits at the Harbour Club in Weymouth that year.
  16. Rasmus Jensen, Anton Rosen and Max Fricke all to up their averages significately.
  17. The state of the sport. The Consortium at Redcar.
  18. You obviously have not looked at Redcar's website. Imo the worst in British Speedway.
  19. Pleased with getting Skiddy back. Crang is a good choice as wll benefit with his appearances with Coventry in NL. Never been a big fan of Graversen. Lets hope that Wilco invests on his machinery, and less of the falls. Personaly would of prefered others, rather than Jan and Carl. Probably the usual cost cutting that this consortium runs by.
  20. Saw Brady win the Julie Lewis Memorial Trophy at Redcar last year. Said then the kid looks somehing special. Well done to Debbie Hancock and the rest of the Somerset Promotion for securing him.
