  1. The good Sponsors have all had their fingers burned, which spoils it for the honest Riders today. Speedway is about being a good Businessman, as well as a Rider, unfortunately very few are good at the business side of things.
  2. So, what's happened to the GTR, it used to be Championed by the good and mighty on here, mysteriously it seems to have disappeared off the planet.
  3. The art is to make people think you're struggling to make ends meet, then get them to sponsor you, while your still making a very nice living. The Aussies are masters at doing it.
  4. Probably need Ged's money to pay for all those GTR engines that are going rusty in a shed in Kings Lynn.
  5. Depends on weather you use Regular or Performance +, the later is far better if you want to cheat the opposition out of points money, but you will come back down to earth in the FIM meetings, but there are ways round this.
  6. Some of the best times at Ipswich when he rode for them, arguably he was the biggest attraction in modern British Speedway.
  7. Speedway tried the Labour way, give everyone whatever they want, it didn't work, talk is cheap, like Corbyns suit.
  8. We're not a major World player in Speedway anymore, if the UK isn't good enough for you, why not trot off to glorious Poland or one of those fabulous camel jockey countries.
  9. Did you ask the BSPA Chairman how sales of their GTR engines are, seems to have gone very quiet on the subject, has the divorce gone smoothly?
  10. If they can get a meeting called off before heat 13, that's a massive saving not having to pay your best Riders in two heats.
  11. Are you sure about that, thought it was points divided by rides X 4 Might be wrong, as that was probably last week's rules.
  12. To ride in the NL, you have to have a 17 plate hire van, it's quite laughable really. A reserve in the Championship thinks he's a full-time professional, and the Sport owes him a living, just a shame they actually believe it. If ever the saying, bullrubbish baffles brains was meant for a Sport, then it's definitely Speedway.
  13. Can't see anything in the SCB regs, even data logging is legal now.
  14. Looks like we're still going the other way, latest must have piece of kit is the Karger digital ignition, that's going g to cost a few grand to put on all a Riders bikes.
  15. Bringing the sport into disrepute would have got rid of him, then the Promoter s get together and not give him a Team place next year, another problem solved, simple really.
  16. Should be able to see easily, that's why you pay £200+ for a dirt deflector.
  17. Sounds like you aren't the Promoter loosing a small fortune, but as long as you can watch your 15 heats at her expense, then that's ok.
  18. If they can't get more than 500, then why bother, just flogging a dead horse, just pack up and do away with all the hassle.
  19. So Rider A is on £300 a point, who agreed to the deal, oh yeah, the stupid Promoter who can't afford it, nobody else to blame but themselves.
  20. So how is the marriage with the BSPA in the UK? All gone very quiet, and that's not just the sound of the engines.
  21. Seems to have gone very quiet here on the GTR front, perhaps their PR machine is on summer holidays.
  22. Judging by the result, Islanders promotion should be more worried about their own Riders non performances, than the opposition. Judging by the result, Islanders promotion should be more worried about their own Riders non performances, than the opposition.
  23. Concussion is one knock to the head away from dying. It means there is no room in the skull for the brain to swell, the 7 day rule is rubbish, it can take weeks for the swelling in the brain to recede, the Rider should be checked regularly to see when they are fit. Unfortunately Riders are treated like a piece of meat, and this proves it.
  24. So Buster let's a Rider race with concussion, he wants his Licence taking away.
