Posted 06 January 2013 - 11:04 AM NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP 2012/13 1. Jason Bunyan 2. Dale Finch 3. Sean Mason As the Stadium guard dogs were getting past their best, Len decided to replace them with the two lads, nothing wrong with that, just waiting to get approval from the BSPA, not sure if they can double up with Lakeside.

Bowden's ridden a speedway bike, enough said, end of that argument.
-
Two trophies up for grabs in the League, Rye won one of them with a Team destroyed by injuries and retirements, we know you've got an axe to grind, but it's sad when you've got a Team to watch, and all you can do is bitch, wheras a lot of supporters would love to be in your position, and all they have are Promoters who feed them bull**** all the time, if you don't like it, then pop down to PLymouth for a while and get a reality check.
-
Those Rolling averages are funny things, didn't he score 24 points against Berwick home and away in the cup final thingy, that Rye won, which doesn't go on the averages.
-
Perhaps Len knows what the Points Limit is going to be already.
-
Very true, never have problems getting riders to ride or guest for them. No bouncing cheques or dodgy contracts with Len and Neil.
-
Some people watch Gollob and want to be a speedway rider, this lot watched Only Fools and Horses, and wanted to become Speedway Promoters.
-
Can't see Len letting him go considering he just bought him from Poole, but wouldn't be surprised to see him at either Scunny,Sheffield or Ippo.

Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
Lord Skid replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Unfortunately i just can't see a future for Speedway as we like to remember it . Ipswich yesterday, had everything on paper, 13 decent riders, one of the best prepared race tracks in the country, clean tidy stadium, good presentation, but just a few people watching, no atmosphere, anyone still remember the Gollob days at Ippo will be really sad. And yes, people are right in saying that it's not about 15 minutes entertainment, last night was probably 10 at best. But look at all the good bits, dirt deflectors/ £200 didn't really help, oil catchers/ £50, fancy rear guards/£60, fancy cut outs/£50, none have done anything apart from line a few pockets, and push up costs. As far as atmosphere goes, the sport has zero, nothing beats handbags at dawn to get the pulse rate rising, but it's been stopped by a £250 fine etc. nearest thing to a punch up is a post on Twitter or Facebook, but even that has been moderated by the BSPA. Anyone wanting some real entertainment, go and watch an Ice Hockey match, compare the two, and see which one you enjoy the most, it'll cost around £10, guaranteed to be on, 60 minutes action, as they stop the clock, when play stops, you'll see more action in one game than a whole season at Leicester, try it, you won't be dissapointed. -
Play Offs, Who Will Pick Who
Lord Skid replied to ciderman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Choosing the right Guests is going to decide everything, looking at Scunny last night, Bunyan scoring 13 at number 3 on a 5.14 will be a very busy boy till the end of the season -
That's why he could score 23 points then, without affecting his average too much , bet he'll be a very busy guest between now and the end of season. Probably far better to ride yourself into a job, rather than out of one.
-
Having only one rider left in the team from the starting seven is always going to result in a bad season, especially with the bad injuries involving top end riders. Good luck in the team bulding for 2013, with so many long term injuries, can't see Bunyan being back next year, he's obviously playing with his average for next year, how come he scored paid 23 points this weekend, from two meetings, but will still be at reserve next year, probably in EL and PL.
-
If every rider had put nearly 2 points on their starting average, Rye would have won every meeting this year.
-
Bowden has probably paid him the standard pay rate, if he has, then the BSPA won't be interested. Basic pay rate is the ONLY thing that the BSPA are interested in, everything else is up with the fairies.
-
As long as he's paying the standard BSPA rates, that's all they need, the rest of the contract meanss diddly squat to the BSPA
-
Looks like Bunyan is playing a cute game, 16 points for Rye over the weekend, 8 points for Peterborough last night EL, lots of bonus points, big paypacket, but keeping average low for Rye next year and d/u in EL.
-
Bloody hell, he's lucky it's only £500, that's peanuts compared to what he's conned riders out off. He owes over 4k to two riders , even the BSPA can't get it
-
That's alright then, rumour had it that they had to take a pay cut and were only getting basic BSPA pay rates, and had to go swing for the rest that was in their contract, but we're all glad that's not true then.
-
He really is the Arthur Daley of speedway, got away with conning two riders last year out of a decent amount of money, looks like he's found a new box of tricks this year.
-
Ok, tell us what facts the Birmingham fans know.
-
Ha, if you had a Club statement for every rider changing his mind or not keeping his word, you'd never have time to read them all, just enjoy your speedway, at least you've got it to watch, plenty of folks would like that, or would you rather have a Club statement saying it's finished. There's an old saying " A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"
-
Don't think it was ever going to happen mate, isn't he working in a mine earning decent money, don't think it's got anything to do with the Club.
