  1. And unlike a number of other teams in the league, uncle len is paying his riders, and the Cheques aren't bouncing around like a beech ball.
  2. Danes only have to pay for Big Macs in the UK, everything else gets given to them.
  3. Wow, technology has finally caught up with Somerset, the rest of the UK has had them for years, along with electricity and telephones.
  4. Wasn't the Briggo Dirt Deflector introduced as the saviour of wet Meetings, and what does it actually do on our super slick tracks nowadays.
  5. There has always been a minimum that Clubs have to charge, but not sure what that is nowadays, comparing speedway with ice hockey, Peterborough charge £13, Sheffield and Guildford charge £9, one is struggling, two are thriving, not exactly rocket science to guess which one is in trouble, they are both £10 sports, work around that, and the Sport stands a chance of surviving. Aldi and Lidl are thriving, Morrison and the rest have taken a massive hit, reason is one is giving people value for money, and the others have been profiteering for years, give the Public what they want and Speedway might just survive.
  6. Every supporter knew the EL was going to fail this year, it was Jon Cooks brain child, and he doesn't play with his own money, Teams like Brum should have pulled out straight away when the plan was put forward, way before the AGM, don't try and compete this year, get rid of the top earners, cut your losses and join the PL next year, you certainly won't be the only one.
  7. They shouldn't have voted for the EL to be a glorified PL/NL with a top rider thrown in, and expect the fans to pay top dollar for the privilege, fans are loyal, not stupid.
  8. 'Sparse Crowd' sounds like the EoES bug has struck, one beating by the Rockets and the support deserts the ship.
  9. Put it like this, he wouldn't be driving for Red Bull or Mercedes F1 looking like that.
  10. Sadly SCB, it confirms my point, maybe the sport should get Eddie The Eagle to look after the PR, worst performer we've ever had, but the most exposure, and still to this day, everyone knows who he is.
  11. Walk down any uk high street and ask who Tai is, and they won't have a clue, let's face it, in the Uk unless you read SS, nobody knows the sport exists, take away the diehards, and the lights have been turned off.
  12. Just stating a fact, not really into schoolyard humour.
  13. And only 1 point from RR, would have won by a lot more had Rye been at full strength. HaHaHaHa, 1 point from rr,
  14. All to do with the lead up to the GP, he has TV and Press commitments promoting the GP, and work for the NZ sponsors, Sport in the southern hemisphere attracts far more media attention than in the UK.
  15. Bunyan is always fast around the showground, strange it got re-arranged so he misses the meeting, but would have been available for the original date.
  16. Sounds like he's got enough equipment to kit out a whole Team.
  17. SGP 2013 rankings put him as the third best British born rider behind Woffindon and Harris.
  18. Or if they were riding in Scotland they'd want some 'Pay Pal'
  19. Just pop into Barclays Bank, you can get Visa no problem.
  20. You forgot to point out that MNZ, FIM and BSI all have to approve any nomination. Nice to point out the articulate and media savvy bit, something that is all too important in modern corporate based sport.
  21. Riders are accountable for what they post on social media sites, the BSPA and SCB make all riders fully aware of this, and that it is taken very seriously, hence very few instances coming to light recently.
  22. Three Cricket journalists covering the Ashes have been chucked out of Australia due to Visa problems including the Sun's main man.
