The Future Of The Elite League
Lord Skid replied to SarahLapworth's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Kick the top Riders out, one League, and pray it works, cos that's about all there is left to try, if it doesn't then can the last one out turn the lights off!!! -
Ipswich V Rye House. Pl2. 7-8-14 @ 7-30pm
Lord Skid replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't blame you, hopefully there will be a monsoon over Ipswich this afternoon. -
All depends how and when it's used, but with the strict testing and punishment on offer, would surely take a fool to use it!! Anyone know what the current punishment is for anyone caught using it.
-
It's been tried, it's been tested, and that's the end of the story.
-
Yep, sure does, but it's swept under the carpet, so as to avoid bad publicity, trouble is that the cheats do prosper, as they take earnings from genuine riders that they beat, would be a great deterant if they had to pay back all the points money that they cheated the opposition out off during the season they were caught cheating.

And have to pay the riders for 15, 5-0's, not a very nice thought. -

Must be a case of bringing the sport into disrepute. -

Dear, oh dear, more likely to get sunstroke than wet. Panthers weakened, so what do Rye do, call it off early, cos it might rain. -

Reckon Uncle len would want good hard cash, no IOU's or HP. -

Ha Ha ha, Bunyan was at the track at 5.30, don't think he'd be late for his beloved EOES, his other van being used by two young NZ riders arrived at around 7.30, but please feel free to show him the door if you want, his other van will be at Sheffield Thursday, sure you can read something into that. -

Feel sorry for the Fans and Promoters of the opposition, must dread the rockets fixtures, they do mega bucks on points money, and don't get a decent crowd to pay for it. -
Rye House V Workington... 5th July, 7pm
Lord Skid replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Everyone in the stadium knows Bunyan was sacked as captain, after standing up to Len over the state of the track, obviously now out of favour with the management, just a matter of time before he moves away from Rye, can't see him staying where he's not wanted, especially as he's averaging around eight-ten points a meeting. -

Unfortunately the sponsors have deserted the Rockets as well. -

Never forget the bonus points, keeps the bank balance up, and the CMA down. -

Always rely on a Scotsman for a laugh, so Bunyan scores 18 points in his last two meetings, but still keeping his average down, clever Riders always keep an eye on the future. -

If the weather stays showery, and they can't touch the track, it should be the Meeting of the year. -

That's not quite correct, they're not actually rain offs, they're predicted rain offs, or convenient rain offs. -
Sheffield V Rye House 02/07
Lord Skid replied to Marcelle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Different captain, but the results are getting worse, didn't Rye win at Sheffield with Bunyan as Captain, totally wasted around the small Rye House track, he's always looked at home on the big fast Owlerton track. -

Doesn't have to rain in Rye to get the Meeting rained off, could only happen in Speedway. -
Funniest part of the whole situation is that, the BSPA know all along what is going on, and just let it carry on week after week, exactly the same situation as Bowden at Plymouth, and many, many more before them, the BSPA will only pay the riders basic points money, any other part of the deal, they can go and whistle for, but make no mistake Birmingham are not the only Club up s*** creek, how stupid can Riders be, to keep riding, week after week for no money, and please don't say the Captain has so sign every Meeting to say all monies are in order, as who deals with that, oh yes, I forgot, the BSPA, ahh well, last one out, please turn the lights off.
