  1. From Dry House would seem that Bunyan is moving to a bigger track, on a very dubious low average, scored 16 guesting for Tigers at Workington, then immediately finished the season with a non Speedway injury, always scores well at Sheffield, and will easily put 2-3 points on his average, wanted a move earlier in the season, but was stopped by Silver.
  2. And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full. I've traveled each and ev'ry highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way. Big hit for Ole blue eyes aka Litle Len
  3. Sorry mate, spending the next week in the lifeboat with Kate Winslett, then it's back to work!!
  4. Massive saving to the Promoters, 13 and 15 are normally two of the most expensive heats to run.
  5. A bit like the Titanic, get out before it sinks, just gets worse by the week.
  6. You saw the professional rider last week guesting for Glasgow, 16 points, and helped hammer the Comets, probably find there are two sides to every story, there won't be any better 4.5 riders around next year.
  7. They've still got a one off trip to Redcar, whoever organised so many one off trips to the North wants their brains testing, but hey, if you call Meetings off because it might rain or a football match is on, or speedway is on tv, then nothing really surprises you any more.Last one out please turn the lights out.!!
  8. So you think Comets will have a bad night shadders, only getting 55, would think 60+ would be nearer the mark.
  9. Best get there early and start digging a big hole in the first bend, to make it feel like home then.
  10. Probably the ex Rockets Capain version, do Guest scores count towards your CMA?
  11. The Riders realise that the Sport is just about finished in the UK, so it's really just a good way of earning some spending money, they now treat the sport with the same attitude that the promoters treat them, picking and choosing Meetings, looking at a track and deciding it's just not worth the risks involved, the Promoters have brought it on themselves, it's a shame but life moves on, Speedway and the Cinema in the high street were the places to go once upon a time, but those times have long since gone, the Cinemas moved into the 21st century with multi point complexes etc, and have survived, Speedway has brought in Fast track, pmsl.
  12. Only got to C in the alphabet, and found Cheap and Campton at the same time, lovely jubbly, as del boy puts it. Rye tried to re arrange it, without asking Berwick first, then told Newcastle the Home meeting was off, only for Berwick to say, no chance pal, hence no Meeting at Rye either that night.
  13. And how much were the fans expected to pay for the privilege of watching these riders, looks like they voted with their feet at most tracks, the Cookie master plan for speedway domination forgot to take into account that speedway fans are very loyal, but not stupid.
  14. The little scallywag, so he likes a beer on a Saturday night, happens all the time in south Dorset, never did them any harm.
  15. They are the averages Len will use for NL Guests that he'll be using, Lambert and Hopwood would fit in.
  16. Rockets have been in a mess for years, the only success was when Elmside were bankrolling the Team, to have a successful Team you need good rider sponsorship, which unfortunately isn't available at Rye.
  17. No Kennett or Mellgren, no chance off Bunyan returning, too many broken promises, was over the moon when he was sacked, only to find it was only as Captain, he probably knows exactly where he's riding next year and on what average, think it's called forward planning, Garrity will have to move on to make progress, will be quite hard to attract new good riders to the Club with the complete lack of sponsors, now that Elmside have long departed. Luke has to decide which way he wants to go, should move away, and get a fresh start ideally.
  18. JS is nothing to do with the problems at Rye, just needs someone who knows how to prepare the track, which they already have, but he's never allowed to get on with it, as Len famously says, it's his way, and that's it. Just very fortunate that after Saturday's attempt at track prep nobody was seriously hurt, feel sorry for Worall, top rider who got beaten up by a crap track, but at least he only rides it a couple of times a year. As for the usual reply, it's the same for both Teams, perhaps they should ask his opinion.
  19. Can't see too many wanting the RR rides, probably be ok away from home, but at Rye with the state of the track, could be struggling
  20. The air fence blocks out the light from the floodlights, and whose idea to have a dark blue fence???
  21. JB was out doing the gate for the other rider who was out with EK, who he thought was AM, but JS thought SB was riding, then AM, then JB, all in all a FUp
  22. Ht 15 came about by the first choice, SB not being eligible, second choice AM getting changed, third choice JB, had been told he wasn't in it, although he was second highest scorer, then told to go off 15 mtrs, that's when the heated argument took place, enigma yes, fool no.
  23. The Team are far better than they are performing, looks like they've had enough this year already, one too many dodgy rain offs, and dodgy home tracks has taken it's toll, have hardly ever seen a team (using the term very loosely) look so fed up. It's a bit like having a decent greyhound, but only feeding it Tesco's own dog food, it's cheap but just doesn't work, look after it well and it'll perform, treat it badly and it'll crap all over you.
