  1. Just admit it, the Sport is finished in it's present format, and no, the GTR engine won't save it.
  2. Bubba Watson owns the original car, he has had the flag removed from it.
  3. The Golly on the Jamjar was rightly banned, but Farmers in Wales not being allowed to breed black sheep is ridiculous.
  4. The Dukes of Hazzard programmes have been ditched, and Walmart etc have withdrawn all merchandise because of the Confederate flag issue, obviously being taken very seriously in the US
  5. Must have rich parents paying for his Team place, or is that someone else? Probably not as much as Chilton in F1 though.
  6. Was last night a behind closed doors match, as the crowd looked terrible, begging bowl time again soon.
  7. Let's look at the figures, paid for five points, £250, less insurance £20, engine running cost for 4 races £60, fuel+ oil £20, our of pocket diesel £25 on 200 mile round trip, clutch plates per meeting £25, most riders get tyres free, so outof the £105 profit, you've got to buy your two complete bikes, and van, then hope you don't bend or blow any of them up, earning anything below £500 a meeting is a waste of time.
  8. They sure do, trouble is it's more than not a gullible sponsor who pays for them, and you are absolutely right, they cannot afford to run them, but they can afford £1300 for a set of kevlars and covers for two bikes.
  9. Ahh right, but the more economical GTR won't beat the PJR BAR KARGER rocket ships, and if you don't beat them, you will be bankrupt, scoring anything below 5 points a meeting at PL level means you are getting into debt pretty quickly.
  10. I seem to have for lost here, I thought the plan was to have all Riders on a standard GTR, and have it serviced once a year, or is the plan different?
  11. So, does it mean that ALL riders will have to have two GTR engines, and GM will be illegal?
  12. At £50 a point, he has to score 2 points just to pay for his engine, that's without buying it or having a big blow up
  13. For someone so close to the Sport Phil is either towing the Party line or really hasn't got much understanding of modern ruthless Speedway, PL middle order Riders are paying £6k for an engine, and £700 for a service after 25 races, and that's fact not fiction
  14. But, when Rider X gets his GTR going much quicker after his visit to PJR, then Mr Standard rider will have to follow, or get left behind .
  15. Won't be long before a GTR gets bought and sent to PJR for some special tuning, then the costs will be exactly the same as before.
  16. Is he World Champ before or after Ward, Lambert or a dozen East Europeans?
  17. Shads, Jason Bunyan recommended a lot of things to Len, unfortunately they were all ignored, shame really as there was so much potential for Rockets to go forward.
  18. Does John Cook risk his own money, or is he just using someone else's cheque book, probably starting to realise the gravy train is coming off the rails fast.
  19. If he was at Poole, Middlo would take him out for a pie and a pint, that would cure everything.
  20. Nobody would have a go at him, if he didn't keep taking the pi**, his biggest problem had been the idiots around him.
  21. Here's hoping he's a better Stadium owner than he is a BTCC driver. Someone should have told him that the Sport is on it's knees.
  22. About time Speedway realised, making up Rules to suit themselves and ignoring the Laws of the Land only ends up one way.
  23. And all the Braveheart MP's who are going to he joining the English Parliament
  24. Brilliant, does that mean we can use Warne and Brett Lee in the Ashes Series? Oh I forgot, they play real Sport.
  25. Luke is one if the most honest Riders around, if you're honest and speak your mind, then Rye isn't the place to ride every week, quite a few have found that out recently.
