Lord Skid replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Oh, forgot the National Stadium is trying hard to be joint cock up. Makes you laugh when Somerset had a proven success, waiting to be copied, OK, they've cocked up the preparation, compared to how it used to be, but the basis us still there for the best racing track in the Country. -

Whoever designed Leicester's track did Speedway a favour, as a perfect model on how you can cock it up from day one. -
If the NHS isn't good enough, they should join BUPA, or hop on a plane and get treatment in their own Country, which obviously have far better healthcare.
-
Speedway is falling way behind, one PL Ice Hockey Supporters Club has raised over 40k this season, with an average crowd of around 1700, and who are they attracting big time, yes, the youngsters.

Would be very easy to police, some of the crowds are so low, they are known by their first names, John at Coventry phoned and said he'd be ten minutes late, so they delayed the start for him, now that's customer services for you. -

Could it be the forecast of a burst water pipe under the track. -
He's about as British as Skippy the Kangaroo, but good luck to him, it's a short career, and he should look after number 1.

Trouble is most of the BSPA are just treading water with their own tracks,be a bit like Herod running toys r us, whenever there's a bit of cash about, the vultures will be circling. No way should the present or past Promotions be allowed anywhere near any monies raised.
-
Great effort raising a few quid, in Speedway terms that's all it is, just got to be careful who you trust with it.
-
Bowden, didn't think it would be long before he came crawling out from under a stone.

And how much have they lost in the divorce courts. -
Interesting the other two have a history of winning, whereas Martin is a Racing TV Celebrity, those trappings of wealth he has never came from mending trucks, the £5 per signature he gets is a nice little earner.
-
He'll have a spin, no problem, as long as he's paid well, otherwise forget it.
-
Jenga, get your facts right.
-
John was the most Honourable TM in the League, just wait till BMR have dealings with a few mercenary riders, then they'll see what Speedways like, still as soon as Guy Martin leads out the BMR flat track skyrockets, everything will be a distant memory.
-
It's actually sold out. Matt got a rule change and fans count as double upto 10 minutes prior to the start, all under 5's are fast tracked straight in.

All most Brit's want to know from a dietician is where McDonalds is. And most of them would have seen a psychiatrist already, the Wiggs, Tatum's had all this in place years ago, that's what winners do, off their own back. -
Big trouble is, the Riders are acting professionally, but they're in a Sport run by Amateurs.

PS bring your own tyres and fuel.
-
Anyone with half a Construction brain would have carried out the alterations in stages, so as to allow the continued use with minimum disruption, but not this lot it appears
-
Had a look at Rye House today, oh my God, didn't realise the Luftwaffe had carried out a raid.
-
A quicker exit than normal for Boxall from the Aces.

So he's good out of the start, OK with the straights, but struggles with the bends, would be more suited to Drag Racing.
