  1. Been living in Auckland for eighteen months with his family, and just bought a farm near Auckland.
  2. Never trust someone who smiles all the time, he's ruthless, just like any other Champion, some people are easily fooled.
  3. There were only two cheques left in the book, but a new one has been ordered, so all should be OK soon, just hope it's not one of those with only 25 cheques in though, must have a good computer system to keep all those names and addresses in, and who to make the cheques out to.
  4. The BSPA is a big cartel, it is their Rules that make it possible to employ a Rider under contract, then have a loophole, whereby they can renage on the deal, the only option left to the Rider is to take the Promoter to Court, and try to reclaim the money owed, something the BSPA will advise the Rider to do.
  5. Letting someone work for you,and having no intention of paying them,is conning them, pretty simple I thought.
  6. Do you mean any Rider or every Rider? Will be paid by BSPA, but only basic rate points money and probably 10p per mile travel, anything else is down to the Promoter who agreed the deal, so basically no chance of getting all that is owed. The rates are around £35-50-100 depending on which grade of Rider you are, but that's all they have to pay, just another con trick.
  7. Who Rides without knowing what they are going to get paid, amateurish at best, plain stupid more like.
  8. Clubs used to sort out their own deals with their Riders, one Club gave each of their Riders a Grand for winning it, you wouldn't get a grand between the whole Team now.
  9. For that money, I'm surprised any Riders turned up, it cost more than that to be competitive at the Showground.
  10. Wow, they must have a big stack of cheque books then. I thought the "cheques in the post" excuse stopped fooling people years ago.
  11. If the EL Clubs payed all their debts today, it would be finished by the weekend. They are only Trading by not paying Riders and other Suppliers on time, or not at all.
  12. Just accept facts, Speedway is finished, just being propped up by a few people willing to go and waste their hard earned money. With the farce at KL, and the farcical running of Leicester being swept under the table, if Speedway were an animal it would have to be put down.
  13. Try one of those chain spray lids full of water, to a tank of methanol, perfect ratio for a really slick track, learn't that one from a former World no2, OK, you've got to know what timing and jetting to use, but it works a treat.
  14. Get any sponge you like, poor water through it, see if it stops the water, case dismissed your honour.
  15. Certainly never been a Harris fan, but one thing he has always been, is honest and decent, something which cannot be said off many Riders.
  16. Is that related to a piece of sponge inside the Dellorto carbs, they used to use.
  17. With Pearson as his PR man, what else do you expect.
  18. Must be a misprint, 300 is the size of Matt's squad for next year.
  19. Hemsley's got no chance of getting anything out of the Mafiosa, many have tried, and all have failed, he should just accept it, he's finished in Speedway, will have plenty of time to count the money he's lost. Could always get some money back by shortening those ridiculous straights, and selling the shale.
  20. Choose your Clients, don't work for the ones who can't afford you, or whose cheques bounce, or who couldn't run a brothel, and that's just the Speedway Promoters, the list of riders who are owed scary amounts of money would shock the general public. Interesting how many good riders have called it a day, over the past 18 months, they obviously knew when to get out. A written contract is normally binding, except in Speedway.
  21. Cookie will do well around the Showground, especially with his machinery.
  22. So, get your weak reserve to number 2, then give him 3 rides, dropping your underperforming number 2 to reserve, who has a turnround of form, and gets anywhere between 5-7 rides a meeting, nobody would ever do that surely!
