  1. So it isn't actually going to help Speedway, simply because we can't actually buy them, probably the reason the BSPA are looking closely at the project, knowing full well they are not available. Ford don't hype and advertise a car, then say, oh by the way, you can't actually buy one cos we can't make them yet.
  2. Had to read Deans post again, I thought he wanted to sleeve them down to 34mm, there would be quite a good market for them, especially if they started measuring carbs after a race, and not stupidly before a meeting.
  3. Is it a Briggo homoligated rev limiter, available at £299 from approved stockists only.
  4. No doubt there are good and bad points with a rev limiter, just who is going to police it, with the Germans able to cheat at the drop of a hat, as they proved in the GP's, how do you expect Bert the Machine Examiner to know if it's been set at 9,10 or 12,000 revs, we can't police fuel and carb size, let alone a high tec unit, and when we do catch someone, it's swept under the table, as the powers that be don't want bad publicity.
  5. Just a small thought, Fast Freddie has been developing the engine this season with Marcel, this would mean, altering cams, pistons, porting, compressions etc, and every alteration would involve a strip down, so we'll really have to wait till the engine is fully sorted before it can be left alone for the whole season, then we will have a true indication how maintenance friendly they are.
  6. The BSPA and SCB will have a great working relationship, as long as it doesn't cost the BSPA any money.
  7. I give up, can you honestly expect the new SCB supremo biting the hand that feeds him, but time will tell.
  8. We're talking about people dealing with Del Boy type Promoters here, if they said it was daytime, you'd go outside and check.
  9. It's not really worth debating anymore, but just imagine coming into the pit bend at Rye House racing hard, middle of the bend and the rev limiter kicks in, which hospital do you end up in? I used Rye as an example, as it is always slick, and this is where the rev limiter will come in most.
  10. Never bite the hand that feeds you, SS is just a BSPA newsletter.
  11. If that's a true figure, then it's pretty reasonable, taking into account that the Club has the full catering rights, compared to many Clubs where the Bar and Catering revenue is kept by the Stadium, it appears they can also run training schools.
  12. If I were the Landlord, then I would want the 2017 rent upfront, but would probably just Rent the site out for Car boot sales, can't believe their Board of Governors will be desperate to get involved in Speedway again.
  13. Unless things have changed dramatically, all 'big' meetings are bid for by all Clubs wanting to stage them, can't see certain members wanting to give up the chance of all those lovely pound notes.
  14. Either they pay exorbitant Rent per week, or they haven't paid anything all year, what a cockarse way of doing business, anyone involved in running the previous Promotion shouldn't even be allowed to play Monopoly.
  15. Any chance of getting Sir Philip Green to run it, he could sell it for a pound, then the 600 million he makes out of it could be shared out amongst all the Clubs, problems solved, and we could give every Rider a pair of the SS endorsed Gerhard engines to use FOC
  16. Is that the same Mr Patchett of Swindon and Cradley fame, and he's still a Promoter?
  17. So Belle Vue has been in the sh** since the John Perrin days, where did the new magic wand come from. Perhaps the MCC should contact the PlymouthCC or just about any other CC in the Country to find about the runnings and workings of Speedway.
  18. Pete Adams and Colin Pratt, Pratty's Team talk was, if you need motivating to ride for Coventry, you shouldn't/won't be here.
  19. My money is on Colin's legacy being blown, squandered or however you describe wasted. Plymouth needs a complete clear out, draw a line in the sand and start again.
  20. Would love more of the truth to come out, as I said, if I was involved he wouldn't be allowed in the Stadium, paying or not.
  21. So if you go to work and don't get paid, then that's OK then, sod everyone else, I'm OK jack
  22. Must be some more mugs lining up ready to do their dough, reel them in slowly, then strip em bare.
  23. If there's a Cornish connection, I would be more than happy to get involved, as I am moving into that fabulous County around Xmas, with over 25 years involvement in the Sport, and connections around the World, also with first hand experience of the Devils. But if Bowden was even allowed in the Stadium, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
  24. So if the crowds have deserted the PL Devils, what makes you think they will come back in droves to see an inferior product?
  25. You've contradicted yourself. Too many viables, if we don't pay the Riders, then it would be viable.
