Antonio Lindback Adult Form Of Adhd
Ray Stadia replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I am surprised it wasn't 'picked up' when he was an infant, unless adult ADHD only becomes apparent, when you are an adult. -
Making Up The Numbers .its Getting A Joke Now!
Ray Stadia replied to speedwaysliders's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I have an idea, the guest rider uses an alias, so no one knows the identity of the guest rider. The guest rider has to use a 'guest race suit', unmarked bike and gear. And has to wear a mask when his helmet is off....a sort of Speeday 'kendo Nagasaki'. -
Has There Ever Been A Spanish Speedway Rider?
Ray Stadia replied to msc1874's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
There was a rider, Pepe Le Pew, who used to go like stink, not sure if he was Spanish though? -
Speedway On Eurosport

I didn't see the meeting on Saturday, but saw most of it today and enjoyed it. I thought Scott and the other guy did a good job, especially as gate positions and riders kept changing. Both Scott and the other guy (don't know who he is!) have voice tone which is easy on the ear. Well done Eurosport! Not sure if it's been mentioned, but what was the matter with the infield? Is it being reseeded or something? That looked a bit tatty! -

Ellesmere Port Stadium Reopened This Month!
Ray Stadia replied to 25yearfan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well I did wonder TWK, whether I might be posting out of turn, but something in my distant memory said I might be right, but perhaps wrong. Mine too let's me down these days! Someone, I am sure, will correct me! -
Ellesmere Port Stadium Reopened This Month!
Ray Stadia replied to 25yearfan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Ellesmere Port, if they were able to gain permission and operated in either PL or NL, could be a good feeder for Belle Vue, which I believe it was in the past. -
Ellesmere Port Stadium Reopened This Month!

I think what MP is trying to say, is were the houses there when Speedway WAS running at the stadium, but you chose to jump down his throat and be abusive! Typical of some on here, sadly. -

Speedway On Eurosport

I didn't have the SKY package that included Speedway, but did see a few at a friend's. I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage. I thought it was a slick presentation, but with a raw edge, which was in part down to the 2 commentators. Personally, I thought the racing was good too with some heats, excellent. Thank you Eurosport! -
Not wishing to put words into TWK's mouth, but my take on 'family sport', is you can safely take all the family to a speedway meeting, i.e. wife, children, grandchildren. Whereas some other sports are perhaps not that suitable, e.g. football. I wouldn't like to see betting at speedway, I agree with TWK, not suitable for children. Also, many fans are strapped for cash and betting would add to that pressure, in my opinion. If I had the chance though, I would like to see Japan's version of speedway, auto racing I think, which is centred around betting.

It sounds like it is a pre-full application. A 'can you see any issues, before we submit a full app?'.

Actually, the industrial estate, which replaced Rayleigh Stadium has a road running through it called Stadium Way....but hey, no bloody stadium exists! What is the point? -

There is Iris, in Custom House area. The stadium ground now has flats, if my memory serves me right. Saw the signs once and I am sure there was Eric Chitty Road/Street and maybe Bluey Wilkinson Road/Street. Nice touch, but also a kick in the goolies! -
League Sponsorship - How Much?
Ray Stadia replied to StormMarketing's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It is possible Motul are sponsoring all the riders with their oils and other lubricants, with the hope that the rders will continue to use their products and amateurs use the products. I think I have heard of Motul 2 stroke oil in this country and is probably available for the MX and trials boys, but they must do castor as well, if ice speedway is being sponsored. Sounds a good idea to me S1! -
League Sponsorship - How Much?
Ray Stadia replied to StormMarketing's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But it is not just what Sky get as additional subscribers, the big picture is the companies who wish to advertise on SKY TV and speedway may attract companies who would not normally advertise on SKY. Advertising has to be a big slice of their revenue. -
League Sponsorship - How Much?
Ray Stadia replied to StormMarketing's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But....don't you think it is us, the speedway fans, who have a 'flat cap' perception of speedway. I think the majority of the non-speedway fans, would say, 'is it still going?' or 'first one out wins'. I don't think the general public would say, 'it's a sport for old boys'. At the end of the day, it is 4 guys, mainly young guys, tearing around a track in colourful clothing, on colourful bikes, surely, with the right advertising and the right portrayal, that has value for a brand that is selling to young people. Speed, colour, glamour is a young persons thing. But I do think, it would be difficult to expect a cash injection, but advertising exposure, maybe possible. -
League Sponsorship - How Much?
Ray Stadia replied to StormMarketing's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Reading the above comments, I would have thought that if speedway could be associated with a young vibrant brand, such as a mobile phone company or an alcopop company, whatever and the exposure was free to the company, but speedway became part of their normal advertising somehow, that would certainly be great for speedway and would give some additional exposure to the brand, especially if both domestically and internationally. I would think that would be more valuable to speedway than receiving cash. Maybe some deals are set up this way. -

Because that's what Oldace and Backless do.....it's like Morecambe and Wise, a double act, but not funny.
