As much as that would be great if it could happen, you forget that young Joey is in there as well - and I see him and Dimitri being our reserves for most of the season. However, I do like your optimism regarding Mark getting a 2nd lease of life and at least obtaining an average of around 7 would do me. I have faith in Stewart and I am sure he will have them firing from the off!!

I doubt it will be Henning now, as I am sure when The Sun mentioned the Coventry Cracker - he was listed as 'ex-Glasgow rider'? As a few people have already mentioned previously, I would like to see Joey signed next and then a young 7pt Danish gem pulled out the hat as our final signing?!

I like your thinking with this and would be better use of our remaining points - our team would be much stronger in the middle order!!! If it can or will happpen - I am not so sure.

For this tough encounter on Sunday, re-arranged from 30th June, the probably line-ups should be (barring any injuries, as Ipswich has a couple of meetings before the trip to north and we are away to Redcar tonight):- Screen North Bager Thomsen Grieves Ringwood (should be fit according to press release) Jacobs v Barker Heeps Tungate Lanham Risager Ellis Hawkins Can the Tigers turn things around and claim a much needed win, or the Witches bag the points….. -

As far as I am aware, he has given up the sport altogether and is working as a postman in Poland - a safe secure job in light of him now having a family. -
Berwick V Glasgow Tigers (27 July - Pl)
cheggie replied to luluthetiger's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I am looking forward to our bus trip down to Berwick on Saturday, its always really enjoyable and no matter what the result - we will be cheering the Tigers on from the back straight with a beer!! -
if we were to drop either joey or joe, it would be bager that would go to reserve in the first instance, until new averages kick in. but me personally, i would drop neither - so i am guessing it could either be andre or jonas to go? this would give us around 8.5pts to play with. could we then bring someone in with that sort of average, and move grieves to number 3 to give the team a wee bit better balance?

Andre Compton Joins Glasgow
cheggie replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Confirmed as Jonas Raun 5.63 that joins the Tigers, alongside Andre Compton! -
Going off the current subject of conversation, but I am just wondering what people's thoughts are in terms of what our riding order will be at the start of the season? I am going to suggest 1. Screen 2. Horwood 3. Wright 4. Bager 5. Grieves 6. Ringwood 7. Jacobs

no, retired completely
-
As far as I am aware, Michael retired.

We look very close to announcing our 6th signing later today.........
-
thank you! I just hoped that it would have confirmed the signing as a full transfer?!
-
where did you read this?

Sean Courtney is our new team manager!?!
-
Get well soon Micky!?! :/

How about something along the lines of: Joe 9.18 Wethers 5.66 Gathercole 6.33 Bager 5.72 James 7.57 Horwood 5 McBain 3 42.46 I know it looks weak at reserve, but at least Harley would start at reserve and we would only need around 2pts from James and 3pts from Harley from the start of the season. Then the two of them can only get better and better! The top 5 are solid, balanced and potential to at least maintain their average.

no richard lawson??
-
I was thinking the very same idea - just huddle everyone up in the main stand at Ashfield and put it out over the tannoy!?!? Much easier, cheaper and reach a much better and bigger audience!
-
Thank you!

Could anyone confirm if the 2.5% reduction for British riders still exists and is applied to averages for team building??

I am sure I read in a Glaswegian article not that long ago that Joe was contracted to the Tigers for next year as well!? Anyways, since this thread has started I thought I would have a first bash at a proposed team for next year!! I am hoping and keeping my fingers crossed there is some good news for the future of the club at some point?! Joe Raj Rusty H Bager James Mason C Wright / McBain And I would also like to know the chances of Sweetman racing again next year, as since alot of criticism has been made of the track - he was one guy who loved the 3rd/4th bend!!!!
