  1. Glasgow Team, as per FB, is- Lawson r/r R Worrall Bewley Summers © Sarjeant (G) Smith
  2. Phil The Ace, on 22 Sept 2017 - 10:21 AM, said: It does seem quite petty though and a bit unprofessional, you would think they should just have shaken hands and got on with the job. From the outside looking in, and in my own humble opinion - it should have either have been sorted out that night back at Berwick, or a change / changes made to the team as soon as possible after the event/incident. The collective is more important than individuals. And as we have now painfully found out, it's not how you start the season - it's how you finish it!
  3. I work out that Scunny have 6.13 left? 1 Toft 7.09 2 Douglas 5.73 3 Auty 6.64 4 ?? 5 Kerr 6.82 6 Aarnio 4.98 7 Bailey 2.61 33.87 6.13 left But if there is more than one rider being let go, as already hinted in press release, it could be a lot more points to play with........
  4. Just to make you aware:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-39488406
  5. That would make him 4.23 then? Leaving 6.03?
  6. If and as long as our three heat leaders get around or above 10pts each, Lunna and Bewley would only need to get 10-12 pts between. With reserves needing around 6 as well.
  7. Solid looking team indeed! Would Ayres and Bewley not get a British reduction as well!?
  8. Another wee suggest for a team, based on yesterday's news and while we all try to get around the proposed regulations:- Lawson 8.17 Bewley 3.9 (with reduction?) Holder 7.16 Vissing 6.76 Summers 8.13 Sissis 3.79 Smith 2 Total - 39.91
  9. Winter is always silly season and involves a lot of speculation/dreaming/wishing around the fantasy teams that people put together.
  10. Going on current averages and rules this season:- Lawson 8.17 Lunna 4.86 Bach 7.32 Holder 7.16 Summers 8.13 Sissis 3.79 Smith 3 42.43
  11. Wee suggestion of a team for next year:- R Worrall 8.33 Garcia 4.23 Summers 8.13 K Hansen 6.25 Lawson 8.17 Sissis 3.79 Ayres 3.56 (without reduction) Total 42.46 But guess we will all need to wait until AGM until we see points limit first!?
  12. I was hoping, in my own opinion for what its worth, that it would improve the quality of the British riders and then increase the ‘pool’ of British riders available to clubs. This might reduce bringing the few foreign riders over that end up not doing very well and cutting the costs for the teams. And maybe a few fans would come back and support more local riders? But yeah, if there was a more sensible rule book that was more consistent and was for the longer term – instead of the annual tinkering as you put it, the leagues might get on better? As discussed at great lengths for years now, there is lots of problems and lots of suggestions – but it’ll be the powers of be that know best.
  13. There should be final averages published within the next week....
  14. This is why I asked regarding the 3 pointer rule that was implemented this year - what is going to happen to these riders next year? As I thought the whole point of the exercise was to help British riders and British Speedway progress in the right direction???
  15. No sure if this has been asked before, of if it is in the terrific rule book somewhere - but what is the plan for 3 pointers next year? Will teams need to introduce another new 3 pointer? Or can they bring back their previous '3 pointer' on their reduced British Average (2.5%), in order to help their progression in the sport? Otherwise, what happens to them - as we all know its a numbers game over the winter for team building.
  16. From the Glasgow Tigers fb page:- 1. Lawson 2. Lunna 3. Worrall 4. Bach 5. Summers © 6. Garcia 7. Ayres
  17. Guest required on Sunday for Danny, after last nights terrific victory?! Sissis?
  18. just checked the event within the BSPA Website, which says:- SEMI-FINAL 1: GLASGOW: Richard Lawson, Aaron Summers, Richie Worrall, Fernando Garcia
  19. just hope it stays dry-ish, as it's fairly consistent rain here in Kirkintilloch the now.
  20. has Hummell quit racing? where did you see this?
  21. Well said, someone like Ben does not lose his quality overnight - he will come good. And as Gazc said, his average has increased slightly and should keep on increasing as the problems are ironed out.
  22. Whats the word on the street - who's the ins and outs!?
