Marcin nowak leaves the tigers, as he’s been recalled full time by his polish club Stal Rzeszow. New signing announced soon
-
Fair enough, it was just my best guess……
-
From the latest Greensheets, I am guessing it might be something along the lines of 1. Schlein 7.7 2. Knudsen 5.56 3. Flint 6.78 4. Etheridge 5.89 5. Andersen 6.62 6. Boxall 4.33 7. Coles 2.61

No worries. Hopefully one of the admin can delete this thread.

From the Redcar Website - 1. Wright 2. Hume 3. Bailey 4. Riss 5. King 6. Edwards 7. Harrison (G) Tigers 1. Harris 2. Nowak 3. Basso 4. Vissing 5. Brennan 6. Complin 7. Pijper Hopefully we have learnt from the KOC QF in March, so that we can do a little better and keep it a tighter affair! It was 51 - 39 at Ashfield back in July, so fingers crossed we can sneak the bonus point available as well -

Very good points made and I do agree with the captaincy issue, nothing against the lad but as you say - too early for it just yet. Based on experience alone, either Harris or Vissing would be better as captain + take pressure off Tom a little by letting him ride at 3 or 4.....

Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July
cheggie replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could we change up the order a wee bit, to rattle a few cages and maybe even say last chance saloon for a rider or two? And how about taking pressure off Tom Brennan a wee bit and give the captaincy to Claus - purely based on his age and experience? Let the young man concentrate on his riding? Go something along lines of.. Harris, Nowak, Basso, Brennan, Vissing, Complin, Pijper? -
09/06/23 Edinburgh v Glasgow (CH)

Means for this race, it's new guy Borke and Thomson at 3 & 4 respectively, as well as guest Kerr & rookie Wood for 3 heats for the Monarchs.... Got a feeling Fredriksen will be a busy man tonight! For the tigers, Brennan and Vissing at 3 & 4 look a decent pairing + interesting to see how Nowak goes with Harris. Ht 13 is always interesting, but even more so with Harris and Basso... I will be tuned into the updates later and hoping for a 44-46 to the tigers! -

From the Edinburgh Monarchs website.... TELLAR MONARCHS: Richie Worrall (guest), Paco Castagna, Bastian Borke, Kye Thomson (captain), Lewis Kerr (guest), Dayle Wood, Lasse Fredriksen. ALLIED VEHICLES TIGERS: Chris Harris, Marcin Nowak, Tom Brennan (captain), Claus Vissing, Benjamin Basso, Ace Pijper, Lee Complin. -
Yeah, I get that and I am sure that was brought up at the start of the season - our team is full of racers, all going to be chasing the same piece of shale.... But when it starts costing potential points and heat wins - surely it's worthwhile at least trying something a little different?
-
I wouldn't mind seeing how this worked as pairings as well, especially around Ashfield.

The update from the official Glasgow Tigers Speedway Facebook page is that it's Race on for tonight! The rain and drizzle from earlier in the day has and will clear up, with the sun maybe even making an appearance late in the day! Get your backside trackside for a great meeting no doubt! -

Teams taken from Glasgow website: Glasgow: 1.Chris Harris, 2.Marcin Nowak, 3.Ben Basso, 4.Claus Vissing, 5.Tom Brennan (c), 6.Lee Complin, 7.Ace Pijper. Berwick: 1.Thomas Jorgensen, 2.Jonas Knudsen, 3.Leon Flint (c), 4.Jye Etheridge, 5.Rory Schlein, 6.Nathan Stoneman, 7.Connor Coles. Should be a good evening weather wise and no doubt some cracking racing on track, with a Tigers win by 14-16pts IMO. -
Was it not Richard Sweetman that went over the fence as well during the 2011 season against Somerset??
-
Totally agree and thank you
-
Must have missed this, but what is the new 'One Minute Rule'?

The 2023 Under-21 British Final will be held at Ashfield on Sunday 27th August!

Heat 12 1. Etheridge 2. Wright 3. Roynon 4. Knudsen = 3 - 3 -
Great, solid looking side that is full of racers and like our Ashfield track! Bring on the 2023 season. I guess the riding order will be something along the lines of below, with plenty of flexibility between 2, 3 and 4 depending on who is on form + tracks..... 1. Harris 8.75 2. Nowak 5 3. Brennan 6.71 4. Vissing 5 5. Basso 8.52 6. Complin 4 7. Pijper 2
-
Defo a team full of racers! And as long as Harris does much better than last time, I am more than happy with how the team is shaping up... 1. Harris 8.76 2. 3. Brennan 6.71 4. Nowak 5 5. Basso 8.52 6. 7. Pijper 2 Leaves, according to my spreadsheet, 9.01 for the remaining two riders....
-
Maybe it will be Brennan at 3, with Marcin at 4? Basso and Vissing at 1 and 2........
-
Marcin Nowak confirmed as returning on Glasgow FB page

Absolutely brilliant that Tom is back next year, got a wee feeling he will really kick on and push towards an 8pt average. Since it's silly season and based on comments on here, is it going to be something along the lines of 1. Basso 8.52 2. Vissing 5 3. Brennan 6.71 4. Nowak 5 5. Lawson 7.97 6. Theo 4.43 7. Ace 2 = 39.62?
