  1. What ? Were you there PotteringAround. ? I counted 3 gusts terrry daley and sealey for the Royals , and Muff for the Colts !
  2. No surprise about the Royals hopeless home form.Running almost all the home matches at the end of season negated any possible home track advantage, as most of the home riders hadn’t ridden “at home” for months. Only those who “doubled up” showed any home form. Coupled with the gusts who were strangers to the Kent track, made the whole NDL 2021 set up at Kent very much a poor relation to the Kings ...... Still got the home fixture at Leicester....which they will probably win ( if they find 7 riders) as they are good “away “ :-)
  3. Any predictions for who will line up for the return of the Cheetahs ? Will be a challenge to bring in a couple of heat leaders that will put “bums on seats” wonder whether Nicki Pedersen might be persuaded to lead the club back on track in 2022 ?
  4. Everyone who isn't interested in attending in early winter twice or three times a week should write to the promoter and tell them that they will not be attending.
  5. Most fans feel the same, how many years will we have suffer the same old sh#t. The answer is as long as you keep on paying up to go and watch the same of sh#t. If fans stopped turning up after the end of September to watch - they wouldnt run the meetings !
  6. So when old bob was younger bob back in the day, Wimbledon tried a system where a scaffold pole was placed behind the bikes at the start once the green light came on to prevent riders moving back.
  7. Do you have a stadium "signed up" for next season ???
  8. Let 'em roll creep push and stretch the tapes as much as they dare after the start marshall walks away. Ref lets the tapes up when the rolling rider is moving backwards and is left at the gate. However if the tapes are broken ....that rider is EXCLUDED.
  9. Don’t see how “the club” can put out any info, seeing as the Mason’s have packed up and “ the club” is a fictitious entity. What would anyone be buying ? A note saying they have a ticket to the BSPL end of season bash, a list of assets ( air fence , tractor? No water cart ) Seems the self employed riders have already started looking elsewhere so doubt any rider “assets” have any value. Oh I gues any prospective buyer would get any unpaid invoices to clear before being allowed to attend at the BSPL ?
  10. Well done Dan.... the odds on favourite brings home the bacon for the Belle Vue fans. :-) Iainb mentions the attendance .... maybe folks are skint after attending so many meetings in the past several days. ?
  11. Wouldn't feel too silly "gazzac" ..... Jordan's promotional ideas for online booking, setting out rules for entry and egress at the stadium for covid restrctions were sound, as was his pricing model for the NDL meetings bundled together as double headers. BUT NOBODY knew the bad choices of rider payment deals he had agreed.........
  12. Never a fan of p.offs to be honest. Performance over the entire season should be what counts ...not just over 30 heats in a sudden death final. This season Poole would have been league champions. p offs running in early winter i n the mud are hardly a good advert for speedway. If the TV sponsors want to have their cameras at a "grand final " meeting then by all means have a "p off" called the BT Sports Trophy or something.
  13. Think I would be considering how Craig feels for Tuesdays meet - if hes OK give him a run out on his home track, and get him signed off sick for the 2nd leg and book in a Poole Track specialist guest.
  14. If the meetings ever go ahead .....Glasgow will be a sterner test ...... at least their riders will have had time to prepare machinery. Depends very much on Craig Cook who on his day is the best rider in the 2 sides.
  15. Poole with a massive advantage against an Edinburgh team who have stupidly agreed to race 3 times in as many nights. Should have refused the date and made Poole wait their turn until after the P Offs if Poole insisted that they run the 2nd leg. (why I don't know) Shouldn't think the Edinburgh riders have had a chance to wash their bikes and race suits let alone do any essential maintenance.
  16. Suggest that Plymouth consider their options…..and the BSPL look very carefully at Plymouth Speedway’s finances . Mr Jordan’s track record of bringing “security and stability” to his venture at Eastbourne has wrecked the club. Highlights the weak governance of the sport when he is still allowed to have any involvement with a speedway stadium. Can the riders not seek payment of unpaid invoices from his company through the courts ?
  17. Was Schlein holding his left arm or his right arm? He had better get his story straight for his medical certificate. :-) :-)
  18. Haven’t come across Trevor Swales …. What CMA would he come in on ….as a guest for Ulrich ?? assume he is one of your Peterborough “rising stars” ?
  19. What a load of bs. For all you know Ulrich might have continued to improve in PL that is substantially weaker this season? The team selection by Peterborough , rubbished by many at the start of the season proved to be ideal in a league with no sooperstars.. and always ensured that at least one reserve was an experienced rider. BV went for the build the team around Bewdley which has got them to the p-offs
  20. Is Robert Lambert available ? .... he's part of the Chapman stable. Assume he will be over here by Thursday to ride in the SON.
  21. Remarkable performance from Peterborough last night with just 5 fit riders and a duff gust (from a very limited choice) Belle Vue must be kicking themselves that they could not gain more that a 2 point advantage after the P'boro early loss of H. Andersen It's Belle Vue's to lose now against a severely depleted P'boro. Lady Luck has smiled on Belle Vue and surely someone other than Bewdlay and Worrall will turn up and score some points for the Aces to win the p-off.
  22. Discovery are only interested in viewing figures. So if their potential big audience is in Poland - they will have the meeting start to suit the Polish viewers. Stuff the punters at the track, they will see it at whatever time suits the TV audience.
  23. Wow ! indeed Hagon shocker. Yes I have seen the line up :-) Woffinden and Lambert , England's 2 Grand Prix sooperstars surely must be amongst the strongest PAIR on current form. The track will be prepped by some clowns from the FIM no doubt completely differently to normal ......... and even your weak nations will look like champions once they get out of the gate in front and will nigh on impossible to pass. Thought the idea was to win the SON and thus beat the likes of Zmarslik Doyle Madsen Janowski ????? Or should the selectors just pick a local home favourite who can beat anyone in the "UK Premier League" at the NSS ! ! Just look at the regular opposition he faces in the Premier League. :-( :-( No Bewdley isn't good enough YET. His time will come .... I would not be naming him in preference to our 2 GP riders.
