Wouldn't want it delayed too far as that put the stars at a disadvantage. Sheffield will still be getting track time in playoffs, but not the stars so we might not be quite so sharp
-
I would have Klindt and Jakobsen back - both seem to have fitted in well and have that rarity at Lynn that they can gate! A team of racers is all well and good as they can be exciting to watch but too many racers won't win anything. I'd start with Klindt, Jakobsen, Picko plus Jack Thomas and build from there. Worrall is pretty consistent so ought to back too. Jorgensen and Lawson are the real question marks for me as they are too inconsistent but do give 110% effort

I'd forgotten about that, but yes I do remember it, So funny!
-
Topinka? He regularly appeared to be happy to let Simon Lambert take the win..
-
Are you sure we'll all fit into the Norfolk Arena or what ever it's called these days....

Will the Stars win? Yes When will we hear the team line ups? Maybe tomorrow Will we get an announcement of the dates for the remaining league match against BV or the cup final? No (don't be stupid!)

Kings Lynn are not much better, and results could affect final position - home against Wolves on 22nd which will be ok if weather plays ball, but also have home against Belle Vue which was Monday 19th. The way I see it KIngs Lynn and Sheffield both need double headers on 22nd, both including Belle Vue - I'm sure BV could send half a team to each match and fill other half of each team with guests (using guests from Wolves/Ipswich as appropriate) - all in the best interests of the sport of course...

Fabulous line up, wish I could get up there

Worrall finally got going in his last ride. Strange decision to put tac sub in place of Richie, would have been better to hang on a couple of races and replace one of reserves Better night for Lawson, Jorgensen and Klindt proving to be a good signing. Never seem to get everyone firing at same time. That said really lost at reserve

Thanks

I got Knudsen's average from GB site so think that's actual rather than arbitrary green sheets! Anyways, can someone post weather updates please. Just had some heavy showers pass through south of Norwich and KL forecast not looking too promising later
-
Think Sedgeman is the better of the two. Allen's career seems to have stagnated/declined so would imagine Sheffield have no intention of bringing Allen back, unless someone picks up an injury
-
Jonas on 6.84 for Berwick. Looking at possible options for 2023 maybe? Definitely not a Freddie standard, but his low average will limit options
-
Freddie will be a big miss, he is a massive trump card at reserve. Unless we can get a decent guest or our top 5 actually all perform well at home at the same time can't see past another home defeat
-
Heat 15 was called wrong IMO as well Harris drifted wide to block the run on Klindt and left Klindt with no where to go, hardly surprising Klindt ran into him
-
This was a decent event up until now. Tomorrow's teams are taking the p1ss and devalues the whole tournament. I have no issue with teams using who they want in their teams, but why no Doyle, Fricke, Zagar....and I'm not really sure why Lynn have gone for Lawson over Pickers as I'd have thought he was a deffo round his old track. Have the top teams been told to field substandard teams to even things up before the final round? No wonder there has been no promotion of this event. British Speedway doing its best to screw things up yet again

Ipswich v King's Lynn 11 August
kelvinht replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Stars snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Was always going to be tough run in with Doyle in 2 programmed rides, plus heat 15 and the tac, but we should still have got the match over the line Thought the start Marshall was also at fault with Klindts exclusion, was more interested in waiting for 2 mins to expire and point it out to the ref than trying to bring everyone to the start as usually happens with an impartial start marshall. Disappointed with the cheer that went round the stadium when Pickers and Jorgensen came down. They did at least give the riders a clap when they got to their feet. -

Hoping I can be happy like I was leaving foxhole in League cup -
Heard rumours that Peterborough will ride their home matches at Kings Lynn til they get a new track....

Kings Lynn vs Ipswich August 4th
kelvinht replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With the way king was riding it was always going to be a tough run in. To be honest I expected a worse result in heat 15, but Klindt finally got his act together (according to his Twitter account he'd been having clutch issues). We never looked like winning to be honest as we just weren't winning races. We should have done better in heat 13 and Ippo reserves had been mostly ineffectual most of the match (although always in the mix), so to lose heat 14 5-1 was the final nail. Edwards rode well in his third ride, giving Doyle a good run for his money, would have been tempted to leave him in his last ride rather than give it to Anderson. A few reports keep banging on about a weakened Ipswich winning, but the stars were also weakened. Playoffs now a distant dream. We needed to win at wolves last week and any slim chance has now gone. I'll still head down to foxhole next week though so we can get some sort of revenge! -

Update say recurrence of old injury. Assume his wrists aren't fully healed
