King's Lynn V Eastbourne 22/08/14
kelvinht replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Much more like the Stars tonight. JK was certainly fast and gave the Lynn boys something to think about. Shame it got rained off, but the right call. Drive home was even worse, torrential rain, lightening everywhere...made it eventually. Roll on Swindon next week. Hope Simon Gustafsson is just as ineffective as he was tonight, but think the Robins will be a tougher nut to crack. Pleasing to see Lewis Rose is improving as the season goes on (shame about his mistake let Timo through in one heat tonight). Just well really as he is making up for Lewis Kerr's slight dip after his injuries. -
Radical Suggestion For The Elite League 2015
kelvinht replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think it needs something radical like this....no guest or r/r (r/r could be kept if rider injured early in meeting only).....make it 6 man teams and 15 heats and I reckon jobs a goodun....gets us to squad systems....add one or two fixed days for matches and its gotta be worth a try -

Fairly straightforward 3 points for Stars in this one..Eastie never go well around the NA.....just hope for some good racing to keep things interesting -
Swindon V King's Lynn (21/08/14)

Season has gone a bit flat for me - not helped by me having to miss a couple of meetings, and a bit of a disjointed few weeks fixture wise. Stars deffo need to ramp it up again as the 'orrible Pirates are looking good at the moment and could easily beat the Stars in the play-off which would be real bummer after we have dominated things this year -
Hemsley: King's Lynn A Race Track No More

Maybe Buster should give the concrete in the middle a lick of green paint.....at least it would look nicer! -
Rolling At The Starts - Growing Problem?

At least you knew where you stood with Frank Ebdon...and meetings were run quickly and efficiently - as they should be! -
King's Lynn Stars V Lakeside Hammers 10/07/14

Buster knew I couldn't make it tonight so is re-arranging for a date when I'm available.... -
He does have a dark side...once rode for Ipswich....

King's Lynn Stars V Lakeside Hammers 10/07/14

I'm doing a rain dance as we speak as I can't make this one...b*gger...b*gger....b*gger.... Certainly need to get things rolling along again...i'll take a 7 point home win, but would prefer a more convincing 10-12 points -
Kings Lynn Stars Vs Coventry Bees (wed 2nd July 2014)
kelvinht replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
not quite - Team Lewis in heat 15 as they've both gone through the card but only manage a 4-2 against Coventry's inform GP star who finishes second in the race as he passes Lewis R on the run to the line when his bike packs in coming off turn 4.... -
Kings Lynn Stars Vs Coventry Bees (wed 2nd July 2014)

Agreed...was looking forward to this....I'm sure we can find a date later in the season - September currently has no home meetings so would make sense to have one then to keep up to speed at home before the play offs start -
Kings Lynn Stars Vs Coventry Bees (wed 2nd July 2014)
kelvinht replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hmmm.....so probably won't bother either - 110 mile round trip to see this...think I'll save me pennies for later in the season. Will anyone come clean with the line-ups or are the Stars and Bees websites gonna keep it all under wraps in the hope that everyone (supporters) turn up anyway on the assumption we are all stupid? Anyone know what team Coventry will put out? 1. TBC (Cameron Heeps?), 2. Kyle Howarth (Lasse Bjerre?), 3. TBC (a.n.other?), 4. Kenneth Hansen, 5. Chris Harris ©, 6. Jason Garrity, 7. James Sarjeant. I know stadium availability is an issue for some teams, but the only real way forward is for EL to ride 1 or may be 2 nights. If teams can't ride on those nights then sadly they won't be able to ride in EL... -
Kings Lynn Stars Vs Coventry Bees (wed 2nd July 2014)

Toughee for sure....but Kerr and Porsing both scored max's over the weekend and if Puk can continue his GP form we'll win by around 10, but some good racing along the way. What is the latest on the roadworks - any of the slip roads gonna be closed? -
Swindon Robins Vs Kings Lynn Stars (thurs 3rd July)

Hope the Stars can continue their march and sneak a win.....then sit back and wait for Rosco to complain about the unfairness of the FTR's -
Kings Lynn Stars V Eastbourne Eagles Thurs 26/6
kelvinht replied to semion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Easy win for the stars. Wonder if the FTR guest appearances of 4 only applies to the main league fixtures and excludes the play offs? -
It's not Wolves v Poole.....that's why it's not on Sky....I can't believe the Stars are flying high in the league but hardly seem to have been on Sky this season...
-
and was it me, or were the riders taking hours settling down at the tapes every race with gardening and fiddling around. Normally expect it a bit from NKI but everyone was at it. Was waiting for the ref to exclude someone for it... ...and the A47 stuffed up as I left with traffic lights in the middle of the contraflow bit...what was that about...grrrrr?
-
Woffy made the start in the first running of the final, so his eventual win was ok with me - although in the 4th attempt it was his worst start. Cooky was playing around with his gate too. IMO the ref should have stopped it, a bit of gardening just before tapes up is fine, but it was a bit ott...but it was amusing....he could have done with a rotorvator as well....

Whoever we get, can't see past us getting a good home win and all 3 points. Zagar will get a good haul though with a tactical and heat 15....and no Mr Pedersen in sight! Bring on some good close (safe) racing. For those traveling in from Norwich direction, don't forget the slip road off the A47 to the NA is closed so will need to divert through King's Lynn on the way there...

I was only the boss today (fathers day)....
-
Exactly what I was thinking as I started to read this thread...

Away points are fairly irrelevant now as we just need to keep the home points ticking over to make the play-offs. However, the form we are in I wouldn't bet against us turning Lakeside over again....and would be pretty cool if we did... Shame we haven't got Kenny riding as I thought he road well with plenty of fight and speed last night in the GP - best I've seen him ride since he picked up his collar bone injury earlier in the season.
