Thought 'Blockbuster' was being played somewhere going by the title.....
-
I had a quick flick through my Kings Lynn '40th' book last night and came to conclusion it must have been Castagna....
-
It was definitely Lee, can't have been Pepe then...wonder who I'm thinking of!
-
Pepe for Niels.... I remember him when he first came over riding in the same team as Michael Lee....vague recollections of Lynn riding at Coventry and Pepe getting pushed about on track and Lee waded in.... as they came back to the pit gate
-
Nope... Neils had to try very hard NOT to get passed, especially with Bjarne rather close. good practice for the league....
-
Wade did seem ok....what we could hear of him. Between bends one and two couldn't hear too much :-( Good night though and would certainly be good to have the starting gate thing with lights and flames....
-
Centre 'green is stretching it a bit or has Buster ripped up the concrete? Guess I'll find out in a couple of hours.....
-
Can't wait for the season to kick off on Sunday....just hearing the press review on Radio Norfolk this morning with the bikes in the background got me all excited! Rory does appear to be in last years kevlars in the press photos
-
and the linnets get a smaller attendance (500-ish) than the stars who I assume get around the 1000-mark. Not sure what my point is there, just an interesting stat... :-)
-
So...Rory has tweeted he's been out practising today with Niels and Ashley Morris...2 and 2 makes...hmmmm... I wonder....
-
MB emigrated I think, so thats unlikely.. :-(
-
I see sense has prevailed and we now ride Lakeside in first home league meeting of season (on sky) rather than poole twice in quick succession
-
Did they sponsor the stars last season....we were well and truly fluxed with all those injuries...
-
The current chap was certainly lively when he first arrived, but I stupidly assumed he would take some interest in the sport and develop his knowledge, but all he seems capable of is shouting the riders racing number and their names and that's about it. If you crossed him with Kevin you'd have a half decent presenter.
-
Been wonderin' too.....and had heard the Tom Stokes rumour, but nothing concrete...
-
Only two league matches in August so I reckon the main part of the season will be done and dusted by the end of July....absolutely crazy!
-
Do we really want to go to NA twice in 5 days to watch KL v Poole? Hope one is rained off so the meets are spread better through the season. Crazy planning.....made worse by the fact that league meet is now on sky - so can't really move either date!

Possible Way To Make Elite Stronger?
kelvinht replied to Christopher Bcmma Cook's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Might be something in this, but rather than the 3 places in the GP using this criteria, expand it a bit to determine the riders for the GP challenge, that way you could expand to other countries (or perhaps for lesser speedway countries allow 1/2 riders from their national championship into a pre-challenge meeting with a couple of places up for grabs in the GP challenge itself) -
*** off back to Foxhole oh bewitched one...one day you might get a real track with no home advantage you'll be suggesting the KL HOF should start with this rabble next.... louis sandersr knight loram jolly cook tacey kind regards a helpful stars fan

We are gonna lose the benefit of the FTD next season, so whatever top 5 we come up with has all got to score better on a regular basis. For me there are too many question marks in several of last years side. If Rory can ride consistently well, if Nick always has decent equipment, if Kenny does get injured / lose confidence, if Robert could gate......for me that side would be a very big risk. I could either be spectacularly successful or doomed to failure. One new face is needed, just not sure which one should be replaced.
-
think my worry with that team is Rory, Mads and Lambert are all racers rather than gaters. We should get some decent entertainment, but not necessarily the results
-
FTRs in Elite League should get a minimum 2 years in that position. Unfortunately for that to work there may need to be some levelling of FTRs across the teams which would not help the Stars who are in an enviable position with 2 decent FTR's. Depending on team numbers there are probably enough other Brits to say 2 additional brits in top 5. Should also be FTR's in Premier League, or at least Brits only at reserve.

Pretty spot on there I reckon, but the other two may not come from that list....
