Where did that come from! Especially with Puk unable to gate for a toffee. Expected those Pirates to walk off with all the points. Good show from Sam stepping in for Rooboy. Much improvement from Ashley, was a shame he had to be pulled from one race for the greater good of the team. Keep it up! Still not convinced with Porsing. Getting well p1ssed off with this sun break lark. How come it never used to be an issue until the last season or two?

thought they had to ride a number of meetings for a team to become an asset?
-
presume rolling averages apply somehow as Robert must be scoring way above Porsing at the mo, depite what the averages say

Puk at last :-) -
Exactly what I thought.....Lewis had to ride his socks off by the boards a couple of times (bit scary as well) to keep up with Robert who was clearly faster. Until that bit of 'team' riding Robert has been the perfect partner

Was definitely a strange one with Niels out of sorts a bit. Few races where we got beat up in the first bend. Ash seemed to try hard and I think he was more concerned with Josh Bates clattering into the side of him in his last race, which he tried to do several times. Lambert value for money as usual now. He must get a spot for the WTC surely? Although we lost the last heat 5-1, it was very enjoyable tussle between Rory and Freddie. And why the delay for sun, then starting when the sun was lower and presumably worse? Thought we were in for a very looooong wait tonight. Rather than Buster have a dig at riders and tinted goggles, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to put something (temporary) up behind bends 1/2 when its sunny. Even the electronic scoreboard casts a shadow, so something big and wider should do the job. Think of the advertising space you could sell... -

...and don't forget the 30 minute sun delay at the start...... -
No consistency problems at all. Sky = Meeting on at all costs, No Sky = Sensible decision made

saves me worrying about whether to risk it for a swiskit or not....

Can see a very soggy Adrian Flux Arena beating the Stars, if not then should be a comfortable home win

Ok...well done Kenneth on that result in the GP qualifiers. Hope the form continues against Leicester...if it doesn't then questions need to be asked...

Has to be shorter straights imo, KL tends be won on the riders who have the faster/more powerful set ups. If the straights were a bit shorter and wider bends I reckon it would bring it back to more skill based to a degree. Not sure i'd class Mildenhall as good track - the shape is ok, just too small for today's bikes, certainly at PL/EL level. -

We'll swap your Hans for our Bjerre.....on Kenny showing tonight (almost) anything would be an improvement. Wasn't sure if Robbo stopped for end of the race or got in a muddle trying to block Porsing as he couldn't work out where he was. Either way, nearly a nasty moment there. Stars rode well with one exception (no prizes for guessing who). Even Ash did ok....seemed to get out of the gate well, often in front just didn't seemed to have the speed or quite know where to go once in front....hopefully that will start to come together for him soon. Anyone else think Rory got 3rd on the line in a cracking last heat? I know view from first bend ain't great but thought he got Harris and wasn't far off Jonas. If I'd have been Rob Lyon I'd have been very tempted to put Lewis in for Bjerre's last ride... Overall good meeting I thought with plenty of over taking. Looked a very poor crowd, can only assume the weather put people off, but other than the sun delay everything and the cold towards the end it was hunky dory. Note to Buster - PLEASE PLEASE put some hoarding or summat behind the first bend to block out the low sun - its not rocket science. -

Cookie looked good last night at Kirky Lane, but he needs to show that sort of form away from home to start making real progress. At the Norfolk Arena earlier this season he was pants, not the rider you'd want in the first round of the World Team Cup imo. -
Speedway Champions League ?

3rd place for the mighty stars is not out of the question. 1st or 2nd might be bit out of our reach though looking at lineups. Would be good if there was a stream so we us stuck in the UK could watch it -
Simply superb and inspirational

It is very short sighted of BSPA not to allow. The fast track system was about developing young British riders. This is an ideal opportunity to get them experience on the European circuits and that's where we brits always fall down. Have to agree with above comment, it seems more of a cost saving initiative now. Until the BSPA get the bigger picture nothing will ever change. Tbh don't blame Tai for dipping out of the Elite League this year , why should an ambitious 'Brit' have an allegiance to the UK, they certainly won't help you become world champion which in turn if marketed correctly should be a boost to attendances up and down the country so help line their pockets... Without any drastic changes to the way the sport is run in this country we'll rarely produce anything better than good second strings / 3rd heat leaders (King, Cook, Bridger, even Harris). Can never see us getting back to the heady days of the seventies with international quality riders everywhere (Collins, Lee, Jessup, Morton, Simmo etc, etc)

It was the bit about welcoming riders from the 'visiting team'.....could have least have put 'Belle Vue' in there....very shoddy. But overall the programme is a big improvement on last season, but that's not difficult! As for the meeting, it was most enjoyable. Good close racing a bit of passing. Expected more from Stead and if Zagar had come to the races a bit after Frickes tactical it could have been a close finish. Loved Ashley Morris's pass on Nielsen (I think) coming off bend 4 early on and superb move on the bends 1/2 from NKI in his last race after missing the gate. Porsing looked sharp and Lambert seems to be pushing on nicely this season...could be a good season...hope those pesky Pirates (or injuries) don't derail it again -

The risk with r/r is how fit is Lewis after his off on Tuesday. If he struggles that puts more pressure on Ashley = more risk -
Agree.....and some kind of entertainment other than tractor racing

King's Lynn V Lakeside Tues 31st Sky 7.30
kelvinht replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Changing the subject slightly..... Just looked at the weather forecast, no rain, but if 4 riders can navigate the track without getting blown into each other it will be a miracle. I was planning to go (s0d sky), but not sure a 120 mile round trip with some rather strong winds will be much fun. Jury is out at the moment. On the subject of atmosphere, Buster really has to sort the Mic Man out (no pun intended ) .....he really doesn't add anything to the meeting, then maybe build on that a bit (start line lights and flames that Rory had are probably also a must)
