Exactly, all this discussion on here trying to blame one party or the other is probably all a load of tosh. As far as we know from what has been said, all parties seem to have been aware of the situation and I suspect it's been an amicable move all round, albeit disappointing from a Star management and supporters point of view...even Lewis may be disappointed the way this has eventually panned out. What's happened, has happened...time for us all to move on. Roll on 7.45 tomorrow - assume that's a.m. not p.m. ? P.S. Just for clarity a.m. and p.m. are NOT riders initials :-)
-
and all this could be avoided if EL move to fixed race nights (Thurs/Fri?) and PL avoided those days. May a cause a bit of pain to start with, but long term would be for the benefit of the sport. But when did the 'promoters 'ever do anything for the long term future of our sport?

Lambert is a good start. I expect Schlein to follow, no doubt we'll end up with Porsing as well. As for the final two - who knows...but Mads would be a good call? Shame we missed out on Sam Masters and Jacob Thorsell - would have both been good additions
-
Like it - it's no worse than the stupid rules the BSPA come up with. Still open to abuse though - I bet Matt Ford would get all his intended riders to go on diet before signing...and what happens in 2017 when a riders weight goes up - presume he will have a rolling fat average to apply to team building
-
Yeah but with limited options, on a low average, and less heat leader quality riders around to beat him maybe he is worth a punt after all? Maybe I'm forgetting how poor he looked last season as it's now a distant memory as winter well and truly sets in. Having said that, hoping Buster has something better up his sleeve.

h Ryan fisher...good call....oh sorry, maybe not

Gutted to miss NKI next season. But if this team fits I'd be happy... Vaculik Schlein Lambert Mads Batchelor Pretty solid all round top 5

British Tv Rights For Sgp & Swc ?
kelvinht replied to oleoleole's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hmm...trying to work this out. BT website is not particularly clear. I'm a BT broadband customer (not infinity as I live in the a**e end of nowhere). I only want to be able to watch GP's on my PC either real time or catch up. As far as I can tell I have to pay a one-off £49 to get a BT view box and can then throw it away and just watch via my PC. Seems excessive. Bit more investigation required... -

Quest is a sister channel to Eurosport, so presume same owners (not sure) Anyway, any news on this (hoping it's not Sky) -
So Bjerre has posted a Union Jack flag and question mark on twitter. Assume that means he knows he is surplus to requirements at Lynn...relief all round after last year
-
Agree...got to be 2 nights for EL and the other 5 nights for PL...then double up and down issues of fixture clashes goes away. Chosen properly (Weds & Thurs?) it should also help limit riders excursions to Poland, Sweden, etc conflicting with EL

I'm not holding my breath for a meeting actually taking place. Been a damp squib of 50 year celebration this year, don't expect it to finish any better

Rory has tweeted he intends to ride again in 2016. Hope its the right decision. Whatever points he gets on the track, and no doubt it'll be slow to begin with, he'll be worth a few more in the pits.

Batch has looked very average this year in GPs and his two visits to Kings Lynn - where he is normally a sure fire bet for a big score. Is he still struggling injuries wise? -
Errr......would certainly be an 'entertaining' team!

We'd need a rider or two on a low average with Iversen, Lambert and Doyle in the team...maybe thats why Bjerre has been getting his average down...or he's just been plain cr@p most of the time -

Agree on both counts. Jason was a very able replacement for NKI. I know nothing rested on the result but was good to finish on a high with a good entertaining match. Plenty of interviews, riders doing laps of honour, Buster on the mike saying it how it is, heats going through at a good pace (until the heats that had falls). Shame the season is now ending - all meetings should be like that! Good to see Lewis as well. -
At the start of the season, this team looked as capable as last season, except in the fast track positions which somehow kings lynn came out weaker, whereas most other teams came out stronger. Then injuries to Rory and Lewis and poor form of Bjerre and Porsing and that was pretty much game over. MIlik looked a decent replacement until he went awol. Lambert improved nicely until injuries caused him to miss quite a few meetings. Niels has raced as well as ever all season but gating seems to have deserted him a bit so he hasn't quite been the scoring machine we expect. Roll on 2016 - hopefully in the Elite and as others have said, a fresh looking team based around Neils and Robert would be a good starting point.

Yeah I know, but a lot closer to me than Peterboro'. I'd cheer the opposition obviously (whoever they were)

Thinking I might have to go down to Ipswich to get another fix before the end of the season

any official team news yet or will that be cloak and dagger and issued at last minute due to NKI and Kildemands absence? -
Yes that was excellent news...

If we make the play-offs we'll get hammered at home against Poole as well as away with the way we are riding at the moment. Almost hope BV put us out of our misery against Wolves. But you never know, stay positive....
