Kings Lynn v Leicester Lions 4/7/2018
kelvinht replied to justathought's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Should have enough on the tank to win this. Anyone seen official new averages? Where does MPT sit average wise so who can take his r/r rides? -
Proctor at reserve will be useful...and he hadn't been too bad until his injury. Its a bit of a luxury with one of our reserves always being pretty decent, guess that's down to a well structured team. With NKI seemingly turned a corner we just need to get Kasper going or replaced and we could be fairly invincible as long as we can field a full team for every match

Don't what racing you've been watching, but it's been very good this season. Big improvement on last few seasons. Last week was poor, but that was down to the away team rather than the track.

Somerset v King's Lynn 25/06/18

Hope the stars get revenge for our defeat at home a few weeks ago. Reckon it's a good possibility, although not sure about Clegg at reserve, think Anderson was likely to get a few points (but not many). An MPT special will be good. Any news on Kerr who missed his championship match due to a family emergency? -
Kings Lynn vs Rye House June 18th

For all you doom merchants on here looked a fairly decent cowd tonight. Didn't seem any worse than any other 'school night' match. Thoroughly professional job by the stars against a woeful rockets team. Hopefully can start pushing on again, but even before Kasper's fall he was struggling, really not sure how much longer we can we can give him before looking at other options. Surely there must be better 4 pointers out there. -

That's a bit harsh. Its certainly better than last season, and started off fairly well this season, but is very hit and miss now -

After a promising start to the season, with Niels time out, few injuries and illness and Danish fixture clashes it's all gone a bit pear shaped. Need to get a good win on Monday to get the season going again, or it's gonna end up like every other season, starts off promising and ends up a damp squib... No team news yet?! Shouldn't be hard with no fixture clashes! -

On the plus side for me, that should mean the overnight closure from Swaffham to Kings Lynn should be finished. Highways people wouldn't be THAT stupid would they?! -

Exactly. Marked difference in attendance during school hols. 9.30 pm finish on a school night makes it a big no no for families on school days. Proves the attendance would be better on Fri or sat nights, but that doesn't work for the way speedway runs at moment. Rock and hard place -

You would certainly have expected the stars promotion to be in touch with council or whoever and made a special plan to help get traffic away from the stadium. Simple common sense.... We were stuck on the road outside the stadium, but made an early decision to turn round and go t'other way to get to A47 towards Norwich. Bit twisty turny but ultimately quicker. Cracking match, not sure anyone can get on proctors case, he made gate in his first ride to be pulled back and was leading heat 14 so would have had 2 wins and a reasonable score. We need to get Anderson scoring or look at other options, we can't keep carrying him. -

Impossible to call the weather yet, looks like rain will be earlier on Wednesday. Buster produced an excellent track against Leicester once the rain had stopped mid afternoon. Let's not talk this off just yet! -

Best racing I've seen at Saddlebow for several seasons. With today's ultra powerful bikes I reckon it's about as good as will get. Better than most tracks again, with obvious exception of new belle Vue which seems awesome. Hoping to get up there one day. -
Belle Vue V Kings Lynn Stars 21st May 2018
kelvinht replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Stars press release says klindt instead of garrity. Not ideal, but least missing riders are due to other commitments on the continent and not another UK team, which makes it easier to explain to Joe public and don't sound quite so stupid. Unfortunately having gone for Wednesday instead of Thursday it limits teams for alternative nights with Danes in particular in their teams. Step in the right direction...maybe they'll get it right next season. Be interesting to see what happens come September when teams still have matches to fit in. Wonder what plan B is... -
Belle Vue V Kings Lynn Stars 21st May 2018

If Sunday through Wednesday are reserved for poland/Sweden/UK/Denmark, then surely all international meetings should be held on Friday/Saturday so no clashes. What stops these two qualifiers being on Saturday. Why do the FIM not consider the league, which are essentially creating the quality riders they need. -
King's Lynn vs Leicester KO Cup 2nd leg 16-05-2018
kelvinht replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It was 21.55 when i got in me car. Not sure it could have been much quicker. Second grade was very quick. The main issues were the two on the trot due to stars using r/r, couple of falls and a few tapes offences by the Leicester boys. All added up in the end, even though ref was fairly smart with two minutes. I would like a clock on centre green and riders having to be ready to start after 2 minutes and not still gardening for ages after. Sure some must have been longer. -

That was an easier win than expected tonight. This year's team really are a team of fighters. Even Josh fitted in nicely. If MPT ends up with a lot of clashes, he would be a good shout. Racing this year is definitely much better than last season or two. Only complaint was the temperature, felt more like March than May! -

With no disrespect to auty, what is allit thinking about going that way with guests. We'll do well to win, let alone turn over a 6 point deficit. Don't know why we bothered to keep it close at Beaumont park -

Guest for NKI and R/R for mpt allows us to use all bar Lambert and the guest. Should work ok. God knows what patched up team Leicester will bring. What a pile of sh1te. Shows how stupid Monday and Wednesday are. Right idea cr@p execution as always by BSPA -

Don't forget, when this was rearranged, it was simply moved to one of the original league dates between the two teams, so hardly a new date to work around -

Is everyone panicking too soon. There has been no official news about Wednesday teams yet. Buster was quoted as saying NKI would miss only one more meeting (home?). Jorgensen was also mentioned but can't remember what was said. Why sign MPT if he is now gonna miss a load of matches....surely Busted isn't THAT stupid? -
Exactly. Got home at 11.30pm on Wednesday night due to late finish and roadworks. (Normally about an hour's journey on a good night for me). Up again at 6am for work :-( Certainly can't bring children during term time.

Yeah, we never seem to have any luck with injuries. We've missed out several times when looking good. This team is up with the best of them. Hope we can break our hoo-doo
