  1. Well it certainly would have saved some of the comments this Thread if they had done that. We probably wouldn't have made the Final then. I actually agree with you about that. If we are not good enough - we shouldn't be in it.
  2. Ooops - read your Post again. I apologise unreservedly. Note to self: Must read Posts more carefully. Sorry.
  3. So what are oyu on about? I only Posted the 'Link' in order to try to settle things down.
  4. Roscoe seems happy. Perhaps some should read this................................................ http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.30952
  5. I envy you Star Lady. I wish I could say that. :approve:
  6. As far as I know - you are right Star Lady. You are also right that there is nothing like the sound of those Rolls Royce Merlin Engines either. Incidentally, the Canadian Lancaster was over here last year and flew with the one from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (The Spirit of the Ruhr).. This quote from the Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur (Bomber) Harris, Commander in Chief of Bomber Command: “I would say this to those who placed that shining sword in our hands: Without your genius and efforts we could not have prevailed, for I believe that the Lancaster was the greatest single factor in winning the war.”
  7. Shhhhhhhhh - you mustn't mention 'Crusades' on here.
  8. I think you should leave your Jocks out of this. It made me shudder when I read that.
  9. I just had to laugh.  Brilliant.
  10. Nel Revlis was Clerk of the Course at Sunderland. Of course everyone knew............................................ Like other Promoters at the time he was another of the Speedway Characters of the olden days. Now Len knows/knew how to actually Promote the Sport.
  11. The 'Great Man' Promoted and Sunderland in 1971/72. I will be forever greatful to him for that.
  12. To be honest, my Post regarding Niki was actually tongue in cheek. The Rider everyone loves to hate. A true Character. I, for one, will miss him when he retires. I missed Jack Millen too. The Sport nowadays doesn't really have the characters or entertainers it used too. For me Niki Pedersen goes against that, love him or hate him is always worth watching or listening too, even his rants.. He, like Jack Millen before him, will put money on the Gate at most Speedway Meetings he takes part in.
  13. I'm already old and decrepit Trees. I haven't got my Zimmer Frame yet though. How the hell did you know?
  14. Heard Niki Pedersen was working on Security that night. He gets blamed for everything else.
  15. Typical Speedway - put the GPS on a Platform (BT) that not many people have. An inspired choice. I wonder who made that dubious decision? I think I can guess though.
  16. Others seem to be doing OK - why not him? I am actually a big Fan of Chris. I am just frustrated at times by his lack of success at the top level (GPs). He is a great Rider but I keep reading that he is trying this Engine, that Engine or another Engine - that cannot be good for his consistancy.
  17. To be honest - I never noticed it until it was pointed on the Television with the apology for bad language. Tai shouldn't be doing it though......................... I watched the whole Interview.
  18. He should stop playing around with Engines. His experimentation hardly ever works - and the result is what we all saw in the British Final. He should get something that works - and stick with it.
  19. The only thing I am struggling to understand is - how can he be so poor in this year's British GP when he actually won it once. Same Stadium, Same Temporary Track - beats me. Is he still messing about with different engines?
