  1. I saw that programme of 'The Chase'. The contestant did say - Australia. Sadly fame only lasts so long.
  2. Very sad news. My sincere condolences go to his family and friends. R.I.P. + Zenon.
  3. Perhaps that is the money that they are talking about. (see my previous Post).
  4. Sadly, we should be used to the Sport being overlooked these days - Speedway is no longer fashionable. However, apparently, there could be more money available. It appears that the 'powers that be' in the sport will be making representations to the Government to see if any of that money may become available to Speedway. I certainly hope so. This is from the British Speedway Website.
  5. Dreadfully sorry to hear this news. For a number of years, Pete was an attendee at the Sunderland Speedway Reunions. My sincere condolences to his family and friends May he rest in peace. +
  6. Keeping fine thanks Triple H. I hope you are fit and well too.
  7. To answer the question posed in the OP. Biden for me. The other fella is a congenital idiot.
  8. Interesting set of figures those Sid. They really were great Riders, weren't they? Good Post.
  9. Great Film this. Takes me back to the 'good old days' of Speedway.
  10. I had a tape of Wally Loake doing the 1972 World Final at Wembley. I don't know what happened as regards Wally - or the Tape for that matter.
  11. Michael Holding (Cricketer) did a terrific job talking about diversity on SKY recently, he was superb. For me though, Taking the Knee - definitely not. I would not kneel as I think it should be down to personal choice. Having said that though - I totally agree with Bruno - I doubt if I would be able to get up again without help.
  12. I was so sorry to hear this news. I did not know Alan, but what a great Rider he was. My condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. + Alan.
  13. How desperately sad and depressing. Such a shame. Camera work and drone operation are very good though. I hope the Speedway can be resurrected - if not - thanks for the memories.
  14. To answer the question posed by the OP: No, not really. However, I do hope that there can be some Speedway this year for the sake of all those Supporters out there who, like me, in those days years ago, were desperate for some action.
  15. I'm afraid I have never forgiven Persson for that. As I said earlier, I may be wrong about his move but I don't believe I am. Sorry to disagree with you on this sid.
  16. Hi sid The only thing I would argue within your post is the fact that 'Briggo' did NOT fall in 1972. He was T-Boned by Bernt Persson in what I thought to be a very questionable move. I was at that Final at Wembley and I may be wrong but it would take a lot to convince me otherwise. Both great Riders, but I reckon that 'Briggo' would have gone on to win the title in 1972, remember - he had already beaten Mauger the eventual winner, had he been able to continue to ride in the Meeting. Of course, none of this can be proved and is mere conjecture - but in all the years since 1972 I have believed 'Briggo' was robbed of a fifth World Title.
  17. Thanks norbold - I will do so.
  18. Actually - I enjoyed the whole of the programme. Great stuff!!! Is it a regular feature - I never got a series link on SKY 'Q'.
  19. I watched this Programme with interest. I too believe it is Grasstrack - but very interesting none the less. Thanks for the 'heads up' norbold.
  20. I fully intend watching this. I have it set to record. Thank you very much for Posting this norbold.
  21. I still think the 1964 Sunderland 'Saints' Jacket was one of the best. But then I would - wouldn't I?
