I sincerely hope that Swindon Speedway and their Supporters get their new Stadium.
After all of the promises given, it would be almost criminal if they didn't.
That certainly will not help this situation Speedway finds itself in.
Cost should be kept to an absolute minimum or your Supporter base will drop. We are already seeing this happen. I don't know what the solution is, if indeed there is one. I do think that things like a Campaign on Social Media might help.
I am not a very Technical person and wouldn't know where to start something like that - but surely Social Media should be used to push our Sport more than it is at present. Surely someone at the BSPA has the nouse to start something going.
Waiting to be shot down in flames.
No my friend I didn't. I have always been very well treated at Newcastle even though I am a Mackem.
I thoroughly enjoyed my times at both Newcastle and Redcar. I made many friends at both Tracks.
I would still have loved a Team at Sunderland though......................................................
I am sad to hear of Joonas's retirement. I loved watching him on the Television. I thought that he was an extremely talented and exciting Rider to watch.
I wish him well for his retirement.
Aye - those were the days.
We were often 'upstairs' at the Stadium having a drink, a laugh and a chat with sometimes all seven Team Members. A great time was had by all.
Nowadays it end of Heat 15 usually - then off home.
Such a shame - but - such is progress.
Sadly no-one will listen. The Second Half System brought us loads of British Speedway 'Stars' back in the Seventies. We, Great Britain, won everything in sight.
They changed the System - and look where we are now.
I like the Racejacket on your Avatar WG1884.
That was always my favourite. Before the Advertisers got their grubby hands on the front of said Racejackets. :nono:
