It was only someone trying to help me out. It was very kind of them. It isn't Trees fault that I live far too far from any National League Track. Had there been a Track somewhere much nearer I would have gone to watch. Thank you Trees.

I sincerely hope that they stay that way. A bit of a rarity these days. :sad:

Sounds great on paper. Unfortunately Speedway isn't raced on paper. What about Tracks inside Greyhound Tracks where there may be no room for expansion - or are those the one's you would close?

Hopefully Garcia will do well. He knows the STMP anyway. Fingers crossed for him.

Yes - I did go actually. Since 1964. But having put up with the fiddles of the Tac Ride and the Tac Sub for so bloody long.. I have seen the light so as to speak. It really is that simple. If the Sport is upsetting and angering you - don't go. I ask you again - why should I pay good money in order to get upset and angry - seems daft to me. I promise you that is the sole reason I no longer attend - I know you don't agree with me and that is fine. I know why I don't go, and I have tried to explain it on this Forum a number of times. I am aware too that some don't believe me. That is their right. I can only Post in good faith my reasons for none attendance. What people choose to believe is up to them.

:rofl: Trust you to come up with that one RD. 1960s/70s wasn't pre-war. Speedway was far better in those days. That is, of course, only my opinion. You never know though- there may be others out there that feel the same as me.

In all honesty Star Lady it is. I promise you that if the Double Points Rule was dropped tomorrow, I would be at Newcastle on Sunday. I still follow the Updates when Belle Vue, Newcastle or Redcar are riding when I can. I know that you and others will think I am daft, but I don't like getting upset and Double Points upsets and angers me very much. I don't care which side gets the Double Points ride - whether it is the Team I support or the opposition - I believe that it is wrong. That is the standpoint that I am coming from. There one or two folk on this Forum who know how angry I get - they have witnessed it - honestly - it just isn't worth it.

Yes - I did. I didn't like that either. Points should be earned on the Track to create a Result - NOT to contrive a Result. I have answered all of these questions by various people many times before.

NO!!! I am not - do away with Double Points and I will be back like a shot. Leave it as it is and I won't be. Answer me this Trees - why should I pay good money to get angry and upset every time the B/W Helmet comes out.? I won't do it any more - at least I can say that I have stuck by my principles - I think, as I suspect you already know, that I believe contriving, conniving, fiddling, cheating is very wrong and I will continue to make my stand against it. So - YES!! - I am sad that I can't bring myself to go - but at least I am trying to do something, and I won't be the only one. I hope this answers your question once and for all. I am aware that most Posters on here don't agree with me, that is their right but I also think some of them respect my views. I have my right to go by what I believe in too, that is my right.
