  1. I have to agree with you on that Sidney.
  2. Naughty Gemini - very naughty. :nono:
  3. First rate Post mikebv. Particularly the first sentence.
  4. I must admit - it surprised me too. Good on George English and the rest of the Management Team for securing this plum Event for Newcastle.
  5. Could be SCB, could be. The people I am very sorry for though are the Supporters. Will there Club appear next Season as we all hope - or - is this the end? Best wishes for Coventry Speedway.
  6. I didn't know that Mrs. Merkel was in to Motorbikes. I must have missed that one. :D
  7. Good to hear that Lewis Rose is continuing his improvement.
  8. Great idea - but only one problem. I doubt they would let you in with a Megaphone - or if they did they would eject you as soon as you tried to use it. So you wouldn't get to see Heat 15 anyway. You just can't win.
  9. I'm sorry iris - but that was me. Apologies if I offended anyone - that was not my intention. I was just interested in the History - not current day stuff. I'm afraid you cannot blame gustix.
  10. I wouldn't pick on you - I wouldn't dare.
  11. Haha - I knew you would come back to me on that. I actually enjoy reading a lot of your Posts - but - every now and again you do Post to get a reaction. Go on - admit it.
  12. The Poster clearly states 'replica' iris. It is an example of the early days of Board Track Racing. I think it appropriate to Post something like that on this Thread - the bike is obviously a replica but is a good example of the Bikes used in those days. What I am against is those Posting modern day BIKES and discussing modern day Board Tracking on these type of Threads. It spoils it for the history buffs like me. I learn a lot from these type of Threads. This is a Historical Thread and as such, in my opinion, the Poster (gustix) has Posted it in the right place. Don't worry - I would have complained if I though his Post inappropriate. I hope you can see my point.
  13. I would be if.....................................
  14. Sigh. I'm not going through all that again. :nono:
  15. Far too long. TWELVE minutes. As I asked earlier - how long does it take to choose two Riders from Seven? Most of the time your 'Number One' goes out in Heat 15 followed by one from six. Can't be that hard for goodness sake. I still contend that twelve minutes is too long to be standing freezing your bollox off in March, April or October. Whatever happened to consideration for your Public/Customers?
  16. How long does it take to choose two from seven?
  17. In the light of current happenings - this is so sad, very poignant.
  18. I thought the selling point was that the engines were all the same. I am definitely not technical but that is what I was led to believe.
  19. But what date did Rayleigh open Ray? Sunderland only began their second Speedway adventure in 1971. The first venture only lasted for nine Meetings in 1964. Four years didn't seem very long.
