  1. It isn't Brough that is the problem though is it? Ooops!!! Sorry - I quoted the wrong Post. Thank you for pointing RD in the right direction Steve.
  2. Stupid enough - but not quite as stupid as Double Points.
  3. I was starting to think that after the last GP. Knowing Hancock though - he will probably come good again.
  4. I used to love watching 'Simmo'. A real smooth performer. Gritty when he needed to be though.
  5. Are you coming around to my point of view RD? You'll definitely upset Dandelion.
  6. Crumbs!!!! For some reason I thought Dandelion was a Lady.
  7. WHERE? Have you got an address please? Only for a survey I am doing of course. :t:
  8. I think Phil Crump would have won a World Title if he had kept his Neil Street Four-Valve under wraps for the Final in 1976. He didn't and it cost him dearly in my book. Actually it is probably just well he didn't - Peter Collins and Malcolm Simmons were first and second that year.
  9. A very well thought out and argued Post tigerowl - I agree with every word. The only reason for the highlighted piece is that it shows that I, and one or two others one here are not alone. Thank you.
  10. You can't have Play Offs every week though.
  11. I don't think it is asking too much to have seven Riders per Team. By Team - I mean Riders who I can relate to, Riders who I can support. How the hell can you support a Team that has Riders who you were booing like mad last week and you are supposed to cheer on this week. British Speedway is rapidly becoming a Circus of people who can ride a Speedway Bike. People who drift from Track to Track selling their wares. They have no affection for, or affinity with, the Team? group of Riders that come together to ride in a particular Meeting. I think it is very sad that we are in this mess. One of the really special things about Speedway was the relationship between Riders and Supporters. Now that is gone - I ask - what do we really have left?
  12. I don't know what is wrong with me. I liked him 'Banger' as well.
  13. I'm sorry Sidney but I'm afraid Michael Lee, good as he was never really figured with me. I wanted him to win for Great Britain in any Event he was in but he was never my favourite. Maybe some of his off Track activities have affected my judgement. As for Olsen - I never liked him as a Rider, and certainly not as an Administrator in the GP Series. I loved to watch Peter Collins, Chris Morton, Malcolm Simmons, Eddie Jancarz and Ronnie Moore ride though. I could have watched them, and a few others all day long.
  14. What a very good idea - I am surprised that they don't do that. :approve: I must admit that I had never thought about it.
  15. I couldn't agree more. Where are the Jack Millens and Tony Childs of today? Crikey!!! I know Speedway needs more Supporters - but does this not seem a bit desperate from Belle Vue?
  16. Ivan Mauger - great Rider that he undoubtedly was, didn't really do anything for me. Briggo, however, was my hero. Just shows differing opinions. Others who didn't do anything for me were Jessup, Lee, Olsen, Muller, Kennett (G). Other favourites were Ronnie Moore, Malcolm Simmons, Terry Betts, Peter Collins and Chris Morton.
  17. Kus you are - and - that's part of the fn. :D
  18. Come on Folks - no need for all this aggravation. :nono: It is only a Speedway Forum after all.
  19. Oh!!! For pete's sake. I think you have said that before.....................
