Presenters And Announcers
The White Knight replied to LondonSpeedwayFan71's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Two great Posts - Posts that the Powers that be should take careful note of - but - will they? -
As I said, room for improvement. I am sure they will learn.
-
Well - I must say that overall I enjoyed the production. Pit interviews were good. We saw the Presentation as BT did not cut it off early as has happened before. Room for improvement - yes. But a pretty good start I'd say.

Sweden Their Greatest Five Ever ?
The White Knight replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
They certainly did. That is why I have no use for Bernt Persson who T-Boned Briggo in the 1972 World Final. Cost him his thumb and, in my opinion, another World Championship. I was so pleased when Mauger beat Persson in the run-off. He killed off Persson's chances before ever the Tapes went up. Mauger totally out psyched him. -

Bloody Double Points. Cost you the Match. -
British youngsters have so many things to choose from these days - they don't have the same dedication as someone who has left their native Country, travelled thousands of miles to race Speedway. The Australians have left home and family and family comforts in a bid to increase their abilities as Speedway Riders. Our lads just finish their Speedway practice and go home. That I think is part of the problem, the Aussies have to work harder to keep themselves, they don't have the comfort of being able to go home. I think that dedication has a lot to do with it.

What Makes A Good Speedway Track?

Personally - I am a big fan of the Redcar Track when it is prepared properly. I like Scunthorpe too. -

Berwick's Shielfield Park also had steep banking on the pit's bend. I was amazed when I saw how steep it was when invited to take a close look and acually walk on it. -
Sounds like his copy was very wet when he received it. Just guessing.
-
Surely the financial side has to be considered. Any other way would mean ruin for Leicester too.
-
If you are talking about Classic Speedway - far better to get both it and BackTrack on subscription a4poster. They are very reliable. I have been on subscription since day one of both periodicals and have never issed one issue. I have never even had to ring or complain. Not sticking my nose in - I am only trying to help.
-
Just received mine today too. It looks excellent again. :approve: I look forward to reading it, only looked at the pictures so far.................. Must finish my BackTrack first though.

That's wor Barry. With apologies to the Geordies out there for use of their lingo by a Makem. -
As a Book lover - I cannot argue with you. I have a lot of Speedway Books, mostly yours, which as I said earlier, I keep. I also have a big collection of Books on World War One and the American Civil War which I will mostly keep. I will mourn the loss of Bookshops. I actually spend a lot of time in them, I always have.

I couldn't agree more.
-
Great selection of Medals there iris.
-
Now personally - 'I LIKE THAT' - Post I mean. Says it all for me.

Newcastle followed procedure, the correct one presumably. BSPA back Peterborough. Was this yet another case of Speedway's stupid Rules, or was it a case of the BSPA bending those Rules to suit themselves?
